Daughters laptop died recently (under Warrantee) and was replaced.
For some unknown reason she couldn't see most of the network nor connect to the NAS boxes.

I've spent an hour checking all cables, routers, wifi access points and settings, and hit a brick.

After so hard Googling, found Microsoft decided to disable SMB functions.

Bloody goits.

SMBv1 is deprecated but SMB is still supported in Windows.

Unfortunately my NAS boxes use SMBv1. There might be an update

What kind of nas is it? Most allow other protocol selections. Or there may be a firmware update to correct the problem.

Netgear ReadyNAS104

I can use other protocols, but its more every thing was set up working and then for this one computer, nothing.

It is bugging me for a firmware update, but since it lost the RAID last time I did it, I'm reluctant to do so until I'm sure all data is duplicated.
