Of course I love Microids because of the Syberia series. I am playing Still Life now and really enjoying it.

My favourite would probably be the Amerzone ending.

I liked the Amerzone and Syberia series for the great world setting, artwork and music. But the puzzles/adventure elements were below average. Still, nice games.

My favorite moment is in Syberia, the Komkolzgrad part of the game. The ex-cosmonaut that never went in space, getting his dream become reality, fully knowing that he won't come back. That's also the phonecall from her boyfriend when he finally admits on cheating on her and Kate being released of any ties with her former self and fully commiting to her newly found adventure.

The first Syberia was not only about a strange adventure that happens to a normal person. It was a lot about the characters that appeared in it. Even the characters that would appear for a couple of moments would leave a powerful impression. And Kate's journey was as much about self-discovery as it was about adventure. Loved the original passionately. It set the right mood from the beginning and i played like crazy for 12 hours straight until fatigue kicked in. Finished the game in 3 days and that was the second point and click game that had that impact on me (the first one was the original Broken Sword).

I'm a sucker for good stories and interesting characters and Syberia delivered fully on both counts. But again, Sokal and Microids did a rather good job on their games.

I do hope that Syberia 3 gets finished and released. I like Microids's older game and i hope that Anuman has the rights for more of the Cryo Interactive catalogue (and not only).

I wonder what the hell happened in France, as the french had quite a few developers/publishers in the nineties and early 2000's. I remember Wannadoo, Monte Cristo, Cryo Interactive, Hydravision, Adeline Software (just to name some dead ones). Today, the surviving ones are either integrated in big companies (mostly Ubi) or working for them. Very few are still independent.
