The first single-player expansion to GWENT: The Witcher Card Game is available on GOG. If you still haven’t played this highly entertaining combination of roguelike, deckbuilding, and strategy games, maybe this is the right time?

Today we’ve decided to let you in on what the story of GWENT: Rogue Mage is all about. Below you’ll find an introduction to the game’s main protagonist and his trusted companion.

Alzur
He is a mage of great potential yet consumed by deadly ambitions. As a baby, he was found abandoned on the doorstep of a noble mansion near Maribor. Never fully accepted by his new family, he found solace in reading books, in time becoming a powerful mage. After harnessing his spellcasting skills, Alzur decided to use them to save humanity from its greatest threat. In this endeavor, he is accompanied, and inspired, by a mage friend.

Lylianna
After the great Conjunction of Spheres has taken place, the Continent has been swarmed with vicious monsters slaughtering defenseless people. The only ones who could try to oppose them were powerful wielders of magic. Lylianna was one of the idealistic mages who would try to save Mankind from extinction. Along with her Friend, Alzur, she began work on creating humanity’s ultimate weapon against monsters – The Witchers.

Play GWENT: Rogue Mage to discover the price our heroes will have to pay for the success of their greatest ambition.

That's it, now we're going to get tons of marketing junk every 3 days, just like we "experienced" with Thronebreaker.

What updates (or paid or not DLC?) are planed? I expected highly intriguing game but got something different and didn't bother to continue saving the world after defeating the 1-st map-end boss (~ lvl 30?).

Come on, guys. I know that there's a lot of people who, unlike me, are enjoying Rogue Mage. But trying to sell it on its story is almost false advertising. That's like trying to sell Doom on its story.

No, Alzur. You are the cards. And then Alzur was a nekker.
