I so hope Gog gets these. The Steam versions just don't work well for a lot of people. Gog's patches are the best.
high rated
Rockstar are as likely to release them DRM-free as i am likely to get a high rated post. So not happening.

Maybe, but as cheap as these are on Steam, they might go wherever the money is. Since MP doesn't have the music 'problem' of GTA, you never know.
It's up to Rockstar, they seem a bit more on the drm side despite the games being pretty old.Never say never though, one day they might change their mind.
If only Remedy had rights to Max Payne 1+2, maybe we'd get those here...
There are fan patches, the Steam versions work fine.
I want to see the trilogy but I'm not crossing my fingers. It might happen. We did get the Batman games and Horizon Zero Dawn and I never thought I'd see them here.
I have Max Payne 2 on Steam and it works fine on Windows 10, no problems.
GTA 1 & 2 are available DRM free from Rockstars site and other Take2 owned properties are here (Mafia, Bioshock) so never say never.
There's a patch on moddb which fixed max payne 1 on Windows 10

it's already packaged in one convenient installer/zip IIRC
You can also consider buying them on disc; eBay has several listings that are nicely priced. The games work nicely on Win7, after relevant patches are applied to them. You don't even need Steam or another third-party service to play them, which is a plus.

I was watching "wha happun" about Alan Wake. As I'm watching, I recall the ad for a remaster. Then I see the team responsible for Wake and other games.

Max Payne 1
Max payne 2
Quantum Break
Control (on Gog btw).

Made me wonder what legal issues prevent these from being sold here. I suppose I could track them down on ebay. I noticed Rockstar has Max Payne 3.

Oh well, I added my input on the wishlists anyway.
Probably no legal issues at all, it's maybe just that Rockstar (who not only owns the rights to Max Payne 3 but the whole franchise, iirc) doesn't want (for whatever reason) any of the Max Payne titles to be sold here.
I guess I'll hold on to my Max Payne discs for as long as I can then.

The first game was great. The second game was technically better, but if you played the first one, more of the same to a large extent.

I don't see much of a point in the 3rd instalment. Just let the poor guy die already and move on.

All good things have an end and the Max Payne saga ended with the second instalment for me.

I dunno, I thought Max 3 was also great. [shrug]

It's basically more of the same type of gameplay & gunplay, even though the setting is a bit different. Still, game looked and ran great; one of Rockstar's best technical PC ports.

I love the entire series. [shrug]

For now: still doubt it.

Especially since they are pulling GTA Trilogy Classics (GTA3, VC, SA) away from Steam tomorrow (with barely much warning) and are planning to only sell the Remasters for PC on their own Rockstar Launcher store.

If GTA Trilogy Remaster hits Steam, it'll be way later.

And since Rockstar seems to be obsessed w/ DRM and game-clients (especially their own now) - so, I doubt Max 1,2,3; LA Noire; Red Dead Redemption 2; Bully: Scholarship; Manhunt 1 and 2; and/or GTA's are coming to GOG any time soon.

I agree w/ this. Rockstar will be Rockstar. They don't have anything here on GOG.

Would be nice if they sold Max Payne IP back to Remedy, as Remedy still brings their other stuff here to GOG....well, at least for now, anyways - since Alan Wake Remastered even isn't here on GOG....yet; that's now on Epic Store, likely exclusive for 6months to a year or so.
