MysterD: I dunno, I thought Max 3 was also great. [shrug]

It's basically more of the same type of gameplay & gunplay, even though the setting is a bit different. Still, game looked and ran great; one of Rockstar's best technical PC ports.

I love the entire series. [shrug]
I do not doubt the quality of the third instalment (given that it is from Rockstar).

Different people have different thresholds concerning how much more of the same they can stomach.

I think I'm probably getting less and less patient about this as I age.

When I was in my teens, I liked the idea of epic Sagas (ex: the Wheel of Time). Nowadays, I'd start reading it and say "I'm sure there are some nice details, but if you cut out all the cruft and side stories that go nowhere, couldn't you have achieved something similar within, say, 1000 pages?"

I think what I liked about Max Payne series was....we didn't get bombarded w/ 50,000 of these games. There was only 3 of those.

Max is not like say pumped-out like crazy, like say they do w/ say COD series and AC series. As much as I like COD and AC - ugh, even after a while, I need a break from them. Especially AC and all their Ubi games, as a lot of their formulas - especially for open-world games - are very similar. And it's not like the AC games are short, either - you're looking at likely at least 20 hours in their main stories most of the time, TBH.
If they do get Max Payne it would be good for those that never played it when it came out to have the sdk that was bundled with the game.

It was the 20 year anniversary a few months ago and some of the people who made it had this short message.

Btw. The Max Payne 1+2 Collection sold in Germany is completely DRM-free (no cd checks). Sadly it's out of stock, but used copies are sometimes available for a reasonable price.

artphotodude2019: I so hope Gog gets these. The Steam versions just don't work well for a lot of people. Gog's patches are the best.
Yes, I'd love to play 2 again. One of my favourite games. 1 is good too but 2 has aged well.
i like max payne games and movies..
