[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

That being said, here you can find a post with dxenija's community poll to have better understanding of the situation: CLICK.

At the time of writing, open giveaway threads are:
- Massive Giveaways Blog (this one)
- Free (temporary) keys giveaway central topic.
- Updated Itch.io giveaways

Sulibor: Could you advise if yoou also gain access to offline android installers, or the games can only be installed, started and managed from the Epic Application on phone?
For android, you can install the games to your device and then extract an apk using an app like "apk export". I played Bloons for a short while and it asked me to login to epic, so I'm not sure how useful the apk would be on its own. In the case of iOS I have no idea.

Does Epic Games Mobile App store functions like Google Play and Apple AppStore?
Install the game onto the phone then delete the Epic Games Appstore and still be able to run the games?

Edit: Then again you can't delete google playstore or appstore, and playstore requires you to login in order to download or play anything.

Guess with mobile, it is out of the frying pan and into the fire

I tried one of the games and it still asked me to log into Epic (though with the option of using that login for all epic games) - so it looks like you don't need the store (except for downloading the games), just an epic account.

It's also free on GOG since quite a while.

Se7en_Bullets: Dying Light - 10th Anniversary Bundle - FREE !!
...
Already posted here.
Of note is (also) that it is not a game giveaway as is usual here, only the listed bonus content; it *requires the base game* - which was given out some time back on Epic. The giveaway works with that version, even though it explicitly requires a certain version of the game (at least on GOG and Steam) to be owned and the two do not seem to match.
So, for those wondering, if this giveaway doesn't work for you, it might be for any number of reasons, really.

Ok thanks, that's not as bad as I thought. It is DRM I guess. At least you don't need a "client" to run.
Unlike Google Playstore (yes you actually cannot delete this without causing problems)

Compare this to AppStore, each ipa file is signed with the downloader's Apple ID
So only the person who downloaded it can install it, namely DRM
If you want to share a downloaded app file to someone else, you need to share your apple login too.

I wonder if this is the case with Epic Games Mobile Store?
Has anyone tried logging in with another Epic Games account than the one they used to download the app?
Does it work?

I don;t have another account to test this, but my guess would be if you installed the app via apk and never had the epic store installed, it would ask to log into epic and then only let you play the game if you have it in the account you just logged into.

When I ran one of the free games, it did not launch the game store (which I had closed), instead it opened a browser window to log into my account.
