Not just in games but in windows 10 generally, I find that often, when I hover the cursor over an item, the item is highlighted and small description will appear on screen. However, the text of the description is often covered up or else obstructed by the cursor. As my vision isn't what it used to be, I'm doomed to using a large cursor. Is there any way to highlight items and have the text appear alongside or on top of the mouse cursor instead of under it?

I've found this similar post, which leads to two points:
- increase the tooltip font and use the inverted mouse cursor
- use third-party app setting
