That should solve the situation with the crippled game we have now.
Please make No Man's Sky available in GoG connect, so we don't have to repurchase the game to enjoy multiplayer.
Would that suppose any issue with Hello Games? I hope not.

1. That would be up to Hello Games.

2. GOG Connect works by giving a GOG copy of games owned on Steam - not the other way around.

It's time it starts to work the other way around then : )
hmm interesting never used this feature ; but from what I can see it allows our steam library to be migrated to our gog library or I am wrong ?

Which in the case of no man's sky will not solve the problem , but again I might not know this feature well enough .

Only selected titles... only at limited times (usually during the big sales)
I'm 100% behind this suggestion.

Just make it happen GOG/Hello Games and avoid spoiling NEXT for many people :)

That is not up to GOG, but to Steam. Maybe you can convince them ;)

You seem to misunderstand GOG Connect. If you own the game on steam, you get a GOG version via GOG connect. This would not supply you with the solution you appear to be looking for.

Hope this clears things up!

There are some rare occasions when for one reason or another people have succeeded in getting a Steam key after their GOG game purchase:

Since that decision is in Valve's hands you should write to Valve and convince GabeN to provide Steam keys for Gog purchases.

Go ahead, we'll be waiting.

From what I understand, it is up to the publisher mostly. At least many publishers seem to be able to give away "free" Steam keys for their game, and Valve doesn't get a cut from them.

I recall e.g. the Postal 2 publisher suggested that those who are not happy with the GOG version (e.g. it not receiving the latest update + Paradise Lost DLC), should just contact them (the publisher) in order to get a free Steam key. I presume that offer is not valid anymore as now GOG version has received the missing parts...

So yeah, people wanting a free Steam key on top of their GOG version: your best bet is to contact the game publisher directly, and ask for the Steam key.

I personally don't care for multiplayer so I'd be happy with the GOG version alone, as long as it has a meaningful and fully working single-player game.

Makes sense. I stand corrected.
