Hi mrkgnao,
is your search engine (or domain an-ovel.com itself) in good condition? I cannot connect and browser says that your domain name disappeared of DNS servers.
Is that so? Or problem is somewhere on my side.
Thanks

There was a DNS problem with my hosting service, but it seems to be resolved now.

I have good news!!!

Remember how GOG always says that they are too busy to implement some highly-desired features. Well, they finally found the time to implement one of the features we have been waiting for since forever!

No, not forum searching.
No, not manual sort.
No, not editing reviews.
No, not properly marking our owned games.
No, not recovering our lost PMs (don't be silly).

A feature that we really, really want!!!

Give up???
They implemented a limit on the number of games you can have in your cart. And the limit is 200 items. Hoorah.
Anybody who has been following this thread closely knows that this kills MaGog's bundle discount detection scheme.

Why GOG did it?

Azhdar: Why GOG did it?
If you has bothered to read his post instead of snipping it, it's because they wanted to kill MaGogs bundle discount detection scheme (MBDDS), says it right there.

I read it. It says this new limit kills MaGog's bundle discount detection scheme, but it does not say why GOG introduced this new limit. Do you think GOG just implemented this limit for that feature of MaGOG? Does GOG dislike MaGog?

I don't know why.

I didn't mean to imply that they did it intentionally in order to stop MaGog's bundle discount detection scheme.

I'm just damn annoyed.

Sad news. Hope they remove that limit.

Good News™ *sigh*
The limit was not done to block MaGog.

We're showing bundles and promos on frontpage, and on each gamecard you have "BUY SERIES". You could base on what you have.

Guessing the justification was that somewhere past 1200 or whatever it was the servers crashed and instead of trying to solve that, they just put in a limit low enough to ensure it won't happen even in high traffic situations. Easy way out and all.

Johny.: The limit was not done to block MaGog.
Thank you for letting us know.

I expect that there are other users that fill their carts with hundreds of games. It's a pity that their irresponsible behaviour has led to a diminishment in MaGog's functionality, but I guess it couldn't be avoided.

Thank you. I'll look into it, but frankly I don't expect to go that way. To me, it is somewhat like suggesting that MaGog could learn what game installers have changed based on GOG's update flags. I'm not sure it's good enough for MaGog. She's a rather particular lady.

Still, cheers.

Needless to say, MaGog will not be able to identify today's 20% bundle discount on Samorost 3 (which, by the way, is not reflected in the "BUY SERIES" on the game page).

I somehow have trouble believing this is actually happening.
