Lucasfilm strikes back.

January 27:
It's been a long weekend for Star Wars™ fans among us. Today marks the return of Lucasfilm on GOG.com: WAVE II, with the final batch of three Star Wars™ titles:

A 20% launch discount awaits those who join the fight against the dark side in the next 72-hours with three new releases:
Star Wars™ Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II
Star Wars™ Republic Commando
Star Wars™ Starfighter™

As the Wave II timer ticks down to a zero for the last time, one of the most exciting weeks in the history of GOG.com comes to a close. We couldn't be happier with the series of amazing titles we added to our catalog this week, and we're proud to have teamed up with ©Disney Interactive to finally restore six iconic Star Wars™ games back into the hands of gamers exclusively on GOG.com.

January 22:
The time is now! Lucasfilm strikes back with three more Star Wars™ classics available now on GOG.com! This means the exclusive GOG.com digital premiere of two more spacefaring titles:
Star Wars™: Rogue Squadron - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!
Star Wars™ Rebellion - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!

Star Wars™ Empire at War: Gold Pack is now also available for purchase, DRM-free with a 72-hour, 20% launch discount!

The timer is still ticking, so stay tuned for one more reveal from ©Disney Interactive and GOG.com!

January 20:
A long time ago in a galaxy near you, ©Disney Interactive and GOG.com teamed up to bring you the holy grail of classic gaming: six Lucasfilm cult-classics were added to our DRM-free catalog, including three titles which saw their digital premiere on GOG.com. We also made a promise to bring you many more cult-classics in the future and, believe us, we did not forget.

Today, with great pride and joy, we're excited to announce Wave II of Lucasfilm games on GOG.com! Starting right now, six new Star Wars™ classics are available in our DRM-free Lucasfilm/Disney catalog. This includes three amazing titles available, for the first time in digital distribution, exclusively on GOG.com:
Star Wars™: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!
Star Wars™: X-Wing Alliance™ - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!
Star Wars™ Galactic Battlegrounds Saga - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!

We're also celebrating the DRM-free release of these Star Wars™ games with a 72-hour 20% launch discount:
Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II
Star Wars™: Dark Forces
Star Wars™ Knights of the Old Republic™ II: The Sith Lords™

Just in case you missed your chance last time, you can grab three more Lucasfilm classics for the same 20% discount, until Friday, January 30, at 1:59 PM GMT!
Star Wars™ Knights of the Old Republic™
Indiana Jones® and the Fate of Atlantis™
The Secret of Monkey Island™: Special Edition

Our Lucasfilm/Disney is made that much more impressive today thanks to our team-up with ©Disney Interactive. The 6 new Star Wars™ releases, which include 3 digital premieres exclusively on GOG.com, are barely the beginning. We're not saying more right now, but we know the wait will be worth it for six great reasons - keep watching the front page and stay tuned for more exciting Lucasfilm titles releasing on GOG.com when the timer strikes zero!

Waiting now for the rest of the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series (and Outlaws, of course)
*starts handing out tissues for the crying people*

Shmacky-McNuts: I am more interested in the TOS of Disney. Who are we dealing with exactly if we are told to agree to 3rd party TOS policies when purchasing games from GOG?

Whats the point of telling us to abide to a TOS from Disney if they tell us we are restricted after just making a purchase on GOG that counters this TOS claim?

Yeah...confusing >_>

Sooooo, do we have a DRM-free game from GOG but can't use it because we just defacto agreed with Disney TOS? DOH! lol
It's just a generic EULA that Disney uses. You know like EA's one which apparently demands you install Origin before you play Dungeon Keeper or something. :P

tarasis: Now the question Galactic Battlegrounds or Empire at War. IIRC I bought the CD version of Rebellion a long time ago but it wasn't really for me. The other two are more appealing, though iirc they dropped some of the features I wanted from Empire at War (the early videos showed space combat and then Tie Fighters landing in a rebel ship, the storm troopers getting out and fighting on the ship).

I never realised that Rogue Squadron came our for the PC, I thought it was always console based.

gandalfnho: Both are good, but If you prefers Age of Empires, go with Galactic Battlegrounds, if you prefers Command & Conquer (wth a more cinematic experience) go with Empire at War
Cheers that was actually a very helpful description.

There are 3 more Star Wars games in the next wave. :P
I think Outlaws should get a HD remake using Unreal Engine 4. :-P

I'm probably the only one who even remembers this, but I hope the next wave has Loom. It's already up on Steam, so it's not out of the realm of possibility, but it's pretty obscure, even for adventure game aficionados. Would love to replay it again after all these years.

Don't worry, there are more people here who remember Loom and hope that it will come here ;-)

For real? Did any of the resident forum haxors manage to sneak a peek at the database or what?

If Dark Forces 2 is among Monday's releases, then I can relax. It would still suck, because I would have to spend the weekend not playing Dark Forces 2, but that's a small sacrifice to make if I can behold the glory of Dark Forces 2 again.

You meant Tuesday. It's not 4 days, but 4 days and 23 hours. :P
The e-mail said "6 more Star Wars games coming this Thursday and next week. Stay tuned." Click here to take a look yourself.

I first heard of "Loom" from the guy in the bar in "Escape From Monkey Island". Would be keen to check it out if/when it comes.

Wonder what our chances are for "Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine".

Fronzel cannot into math!
Who else is humming a John Williams overture while browsing the front page?

I think if GOG had some Williams playing in the background, it would increase sales 2 fold.
