Lucasfilm strikes back.

January 27:
It's been a long weekend for Star Wars™ fans among us. Today marks the return of Lucasfilm on GOG.com: WAVE II, with the final batch of three Star Wars™ titles:

A 20% launch discount awaits those who join the fight against the dark side in the next 72-hours with three new releases:
Star Wars™ Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II
Star Wars™ Republic Commando
Star Wars™ Starfighter™

As the Wave II timer ticks down to a zero for the last time, one of the most exciting weeks in the history of GOG.com comes to a close. We couldn't be happier with the series of amazing titles we added to our catalog this week, and we're proud to have teamed up with ©Disney Interactive to finally restore six iconic Star Wars™ games back into the hands of gamers exclusively on GOG.com.

January 22:
The time is now! Lucasfilm strikes back with three more Star Wars™ classics available now on GOG.com! This means the exclusive GOG.com digital premiere of two more spacefaring titles:
Star Wars™: Rogue Squadron - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!
Star Wars™ Rebellion - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!

Star Wars™ Empire at War: Gold Pack is now also available for purchase, DRM-free with a 72-hour, 20% launch discount!

January 20:
A long time ago in a galaxy near you, ©Disney Interactive and GOG.com teamed up to bring you the holy grail of classic gaming: six Lucasfilm cult-classics were added to our DRM-free catalog, including three titles which saw their digital premiere on GOG.com. We also made a promise to bring you many more cult-classics in the future and, believe us, we did not forget.

Today, with great pride and joy, we're excited to announce Wave II of Lucasfilm games on GOG.com! Starting right now, six new Star Wars™ classics are available in our DRM-free Lucasfilm/Disney catalog. This includes three amazing titles available, for the first time in digital distribution, exclusively on GOG.com:
Star Wars™: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!
Star Wars™: X-Wing Alliance™ - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!
Star Wars™ Galactic Battlegrounds Saga - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!

We're also celebrating the DRM-free release of these Star Wars™ games with a 72-hour 20% launch discount:
Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II
Star Wars™: Dark Forces
Star Wars™ Knights of the Old Republic™ II: The Sith Lords™

Just in case you missed your chance last time, you can grab three more Lucasfilm classics for the same 20% discount, until Friday, January 30, at 1:59 PM GMT!
Star Wars™ Knights of the Old Republic™
Indiana Jones® and the Fate of Atlantis™
The Secret of Monkey Island™: Special Edition

Our Lucasfilm/Disney is made that much more impressive today thanks to our team-up with ©Disney Interactive. The 6 new Star Wars™ releases, which include 3 digital premieres exclusively on GOG.com, are barely the beginning. We're not saying more right now, but we know the wait will be worth it for six great reasons - keep watching the front page and stay tuned for more exciting Lucasfilm titles releasing on GOG.com when the timer strikes zero!

I already have most classic LucasArts games on CD but I'll get ALL of these for preservation/easy access as soon as the first sale kicks in (May the Third, maybe?). Although if Rogue Squadron or Shadows of the Empire come soon, I might instabuy them :)
I hope for Star Wars Rebellion (Supremacy), and perhaps a Disney game, Split Second Velocity.
This may have been asked already, but...LucasArts! So many comments!

Anyway... Concerning the newly added LucasArts games (which are all currently Windows) and Mac versions...

What about using Wineskin for OS X to run the Windows platform Star Wars games (such as X-Wing Alliance, KOTOR II, et.al.)? Does anyone know the efficacy of doing it this way? Or better to wait until dedicated Mac versions of these games are added to GoG?

Thanks in advance for any info or ideas!
I really hope they release Star Wars Battlefront. In my opinion, it's much better than BF2. If they do release it, I'll instabuy it as well.
How about some Good Old Games!?
:) sorry for being a troll or at least a mean gnome.
But in that vein we'd be getting Outlaws, The Dig, Curse of Monkey Island, Zak & Maniacs?
Anyway it's all good! Love you! ♥
I'm most interested in the old adventures as well.

That said, Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II and the Mysteries of the Sith expansion would be instabuys as well (if my credit card can take it).

Flaose: My body is ready! Dark Forces is one of my favorite old-school First-Person Shooters. I'm glad others can enjoy it now!
DarkXL is pretty nice.

Grargar: Here you go.

penumbren: Well, since it says six more coming "this Thursday and next week", maybe we'll get lucky and they mean six more SW between those two days, rather than just SW releases for one or both of them. We can hope, anyway. I'm a Star Wars fan, but… I was really looking forward to more of the non-SW LA games, since those are the ones I could never find when younger.
Love Full Throttle and Outlaws.

opeter2: First we need Jedi Knight 1 (or Dark Forces 2, whatever you call it). ;)

cw8: Yeah. But I really love the lightsaber combat in JK2 and JA. By far the best lightsaber combat in the 2 games in all Star Wars game history. And if you play with some of the total conversion mods, /jaw drops.
Which mods do you recommend?
I checked out the store page for Knights of the Old Republic II, but I couldn't find any additional information about how this release differs from Steam.

I mean, *obviously* DRM-free! Which is great! But these days it's not just DRM-free from coming back to GOG, but the quality of their releases. I'm sick and tired of buying old games on Steam and discovering that they have been barely optimized or checked to actually work consistently.

Is this KOTOR modified for widescreen support? Are there less bugs? What's new here that makes it better than playing it on the Xbox Original or on Steam? :D

I have been thinking about the same questions, especially since the GOG version's minimum system requirements are so different than the Steam version's, which indicates they're different in some way.
Ugh 5 more hours still. Why isn't this being released at 3 am anymore

The next wave of Star Wars games is due in 5 hours. As to what game he's hoping for, no idea

For me, it will be Rebellion and Jedi Knight. And Zak Mac Kraken when they decide to launch non-SW games again :)

By "this" I meant, this set of games. But I am hoping for The Force Unleashed.
