We also made a promise to bring you many more cult-classics in the future and, believe us, we did not forget.

Today, with great pride and joy, we're excited to announce Wave II of Lucasfilm games on GOG.com! Starting right now, six new Star Wars™ classics are available in our DRM-free Lucasfilm/Disney catalog. The Secret of Monkey Island™: Special Edition

Our Lucasfilm/Disney is made that much more impressive today thanks to our team-up with ©Disney Interactive. Tpiom: Neither was the lead designer for Knights of the Old Republic II... Get that one ;)
I tried to play it on Xbox... the 1st person perspective of the first mission got me lost. And then after that my DVD drive died meaning i couldn't play it... :( Still got it here somewhere...
I'm not too familiar with the Star Wars games for the PC. I've played Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II for the GameCube years ago. With that in mind, which (if any) of the X-Wing games would you guys recommend as being close to that kind of experience?

On a side note: If the Super Star Wars games ever came to the 3DS or PC, I would instabuy them on the feeling of nostalgia alone. :)

We know they are already Star Wars games, but the question is which ones?

The X-Wing and Rogue Squadron games are very different from one another, designed for very different audiences. But, the original Rogue Squadron is on PC, and it might get released here on GOG (I hope it does). Otherwise, you have to find a retail copy and, if you are on a 64-bit system, a 3rd-party installer to install the game, as the game's installer doesn't work on 64-bit systems, being a 16-bit program (the game itself will run, though your mileage may vary).

It's certainly a possibility since there are more Star Wars games coming Thrusday. Thank you for the heads up!
Yes!!!

Knights of the Old Republic II... Have waited long for this one! The original release won't work on any modern PC (or most of them). GOG makes it possible. Another well curated game to the list, along with many others.

Got KOTOR II and Battlegrounds II at once... Alliance and X-Wing vs TIE Fighter will come later.

Full Throttle?
Grim Fandango classic?
Star Wars games?
Maniac Mansion?
Day of the Tentacle?
Loom?
...Yoda Stories? :)

If they release Empire at War on Thursday, I'll probably do the unthinkable and immediately start playing it. I've wanted to play that game for ages, but I somehow never got around to it.
May The Force be with you, GOG!!!

It is good but the land battles get a little repetitive. The scaling of the space battles however is worth the price alone; I can't stress that enough, it is totally off the charts.
There were probably tons of similar posts but.. How about Rogue Squadron? One of the best games in the history! At least, from my subjective perspective :)
GOG, you can do it!

Indeed. And grab some space mods while you're at it, like the Legacy mod or the mighty z3r0x mod for FOC. Takes the space battles to a whole 'nother level of epicness.
