Well, this would be the second thread of this nature that I make. I remember playing something, I look it up all over the internet using various tags, sometimes diving into whole image galleries, just in case there's something in there, but to no avail!
Last time the GOG community was extremely helpful and I managed to find what I wanted. This one feels like it should be easier...

Can't really pinpoint the genre, It was sort of a first person point and click game. I remember some shooting, but that might just be clicking on a monster's face instead of an entrance to walk through.
I do remember that it was sci fi and that the portion I played through took place in some weird cave/organism. I was some sort of space-person in a gross place filled with tunnels and occasional chambers. (Think Diablo 2's maggot lair, but worse) I do remember that there would be a hole in the ceiling and if I came up to it, some worm would just grab and eat my character, meaning instant death. There would also be a large chamber with some sort of pool on a side. Out of said pool some giant thingie that looked a lot like a mantis would come out... Seconds later it grabs the character and sinks back in the pool, again, meaning instant death. I think you had to shoot its eyes to make it recede. The graphics themselves were all pre-rendered, blobby, low res stuff, mostly.
I can't remember much else, sorry. Hope it was enough!
