hi all, due to brain fog im having a hard time finding a game to play. maybe i can pick your brains for ideas... what im looking for is:

1. ease of use- no high learning curve, (strategies) old time rpgs without modern conveniences like maps etc.. cuz... im lazy
2. adventuring- secrets to find, loot to find, exploration
3. not scary- cuz im a wimp
4. mouse/keybd friendly with intuitive controls, bad console ports are a turn off to me
5. can be a shooter but have lots of story to it besides just combat
6. love skill trees, builds, that kind of thing
7. graphics not important, gameplay is

maybe an rpg lite?

I have so many games but that can also give a feeling of being overwhelmed when scrolling for something to play. recently ive taken a nice nostalgic trip to unreal gold, havent played that in decades but while i loved the exloration and finding stuff hidden, the creepiness..even old creepiness was too stressful for my current mood. Been playing alot of torchlight 2 and i love it but lets face it... its more or less the same thing over and over, dungeons with levels, find loot, upgrade loot rinse repeat.

what are your fav go to games? i need something to really get into, its been a long while and i miss that excited to game feeling
Here you go: https://www.gog.com/game/underrail

I think it hits all of those requirements, though it's a bit slow on the story (so far - this is my first time playing).
I've been completely hooked on No Man's Sky since the NEXT update dropped at the end of July. Generally this isn't my style of game, but this game has hooked me completely and I have no desire to play anything else right now.
thanks for the tips, ill look into them. went back to ember which i had stopped, gonna give it a few hours then try those two. cheers!
I just finished Divinity 2 DKS, and it pretty much fills the above requirements.
Although it finishes with an escort mission (who ever thought that was a good idea)
RPGs inspired by ye olde time RPGs would probably not be easy to pick up.
But Hyper Light Drifter seems to fit your boxes.
