Hello peepz!

I have been trying to find one of my favourite games from my childhood again which sadly, my mom decided to throw away back then and I have no idea what's it called anymore.

The game: it was a scifi game that had elements of building a base with defenses and what-not, but you could also hover around in ships and attack enemies. It was 3d-ish, although the graphics are probably quite dated. I remember being able to call in airstrikes and the like.

Now one thing still in my mind is something with "Crusaders" in it, but can be mistaken as it's been 20 years.

I was playing it in my dad's basement, so I must have played it somewhere around 1998-2002? It probably was older than that. Just mentioning to help with the year of release.

Hugs for anyone able to help me! My search through the net so far has been without results. Help a brother out? ;-/

Cheers!
Hm, a couple:

MobyGames ("IMDB for games") for title search with "Crusaders" if you really think that was in the title: http://www.mobygames.com/search/quick?q=crusaders&p=-1&search=Go&sFilter=1&sG=on

Sounds like Battlezone
Have a look at these:

Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri
Startopia
Space Colony
If C&C Renegade is one of them, that will be the first time I've ever heard that game and "favorite" in the same sentence. :P
It actually was Battlezone! In my mind, the graphics weren't as good, but as I was just watching a Let's Play of it, memories rushed back in! :-)

Now off to buy it off GoG....

Thanks to everyone suggesting!
