World of Warcraft: Classic (August 26 2019)
Portal 2 (18 April 2011)
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice (2017)

A young Celtic warrior embarks on a journey to the Norse underworld in order to avenge her dead lover. The hero of the story, Senua, suffers from psychosis and the developers consulted with several psychiatry experts to represent it as accurately as possible, and even based the game's puzzles and visuals/sounds on the experiences told by people with the same illness. The depiction of a mental health issue is still taboo in our society, but Hellblade manages to turn it into an essential element of its story (Senua suffers the ignorance of her own society, not that different from ours, as much as the illness itself) and develops an incredible gaming experience.
Saints Row: The Third (15 November 2011)
Pathologic 2 (2019)
It only has 1 campaign out of 3 so far, but what's there is worthwhile.
One Finger Death Punch 2 (2019)
Disco Elysium (2019)
Mount & Blade: Warband [2010]

Sonic Mania (August-2017)
Enderal Forgotten Stories (2016, 2019)

The atmosphere, the story and the music in this "joerney" has no competition, and everything were done by highly motivated and skilled people in their spare time. (It's technically a TC but for all intents and purposes a whole 'video game'.)
Night in the Woods (21st February 2017)
Gemini Rue (2011)

An atmospheric and philosophical point-and-click adventure, with detective mechanics and action sequences, developed almost on its entirety by a single guy.
Return of the Obra Dinn (October 18, 2018)

The best detective game ever made. Initally looks dry and uninviting, within an hour you just want to see more, find more out, and solve it all.
