So last post so as to keep on topic
I've also installed Nehrim and my suspicion was correct. They've only installed the relevant modules for Nehrim without the main game, i.e. to say if you want to play the main game, you'll have to download the main installer. Probably an effort to keep things lean(er).
Traditionally, if you got the game off Steam, you would have installed Oblivion, then added in the Nehrim modules and use the Oblivion launcher to select the correct modules to load prior to the game starting. GOG just basically reduced the footprint if you just wanted to play Nehrim.
TLDR; Installing Nehrim package from GOG does not contain original main Oblivion modules required to play the original game.
