Time4Tea: In other words, do they actually have strong convictions about DRM-free, or are they just DRM-free at the moment, by virtue of being small and not having the resources/infrastructure to support DRM?
I asked them, whether the disappearance of the 100% DRM-free sticker from the front page meant anything and this was their reply:

Hi Peter,

Wow, you certainly have an eye for detail! Thank you for pointing this out, as we have not changed at all. We are still 100% DRM-FREE and have no plans to change. That being said, we should definitely make that clearer as we expand the new site. Its duly noted. Thank you again and enjoy the weekend!

Best Regards,

The ZOOM Platform Support Team
So, they are still dedicated to DRM-free.

By the way, their support is very quick to reply, quite friendly and helpful in all interactions I had with them. So basically zoom-platform is now, what GOG used to be many years ago.

Hi Lifthrasil,

Thanks very much for reaching out to them and sorry for the late reply, I been crazy busy over the past few days. They do indeed seem to be friendly and very responsive towards their customers and their suggestions. One minor gripe is that I am a Linux user and they seem to have even more limited Linux support than GOG. For example, they have Shadow Tactics, but only for Windows, not Linux native.

However, I will create an account and give them a try, as I agree we need to support and help build a viable fallback to GOG, given the way things are going here. I will hope they expand their native Linux offerings as they grow.
Mind if we add DLsite to the list of DRM-free distributors? DLsite English sells niche digital doujinshi goods and doujin games, and some of their games/products are DRM-free while some others require an authentication of valid purchases but I haven't bought anything to confirm how strict their authentication protection is (yet). Be advised that some products and games on the site very NSFW and may crop up on this store, even outside of the Maniax/R18 section. Some of the games sold on DLsite are probably their original doujin PC releases instead of their updated localized versions on Steam/GOG/PLAYISM (e.g. RosenkreuzStilette, Acceleration of SUGURI 2).

ADDED, thank you.
A strange forum bug prevent me to put them in one single line, so I list two for English and Japanese site.
Pretty most games on https://www.matrixgames.com/ are DRM free. I bought several games from them.

Zoom is pretty much like old Gamersgate. Most of the games on Zoom were DRM free on GamersGate in the past.

Lifthrasil: Bump for visibility. With GOG's move towards Epic and with their decision to allow DRM on parts of single player games, alternatives have become even more important.
What proof do you have about GOG moving towards epic? I really want to know, because all I can find is selling epic games through Galaxy.

Exactly that. Becoming a sales platform for Epic is quite a big step towards them.

I have galaxy and I can't see that, where I can see the games that epic sells through gog?

As far as I know, the feature is still in closed beta. It's available only to select galaxy users, by invitation only. See here:

Disclaimer: I don't use galaxy, so I may be wrong.

I'm someone who used to buy stuff in the past on dlsite (bot regular, pro, and maniax), and there is a reason if I decided to stay away from it: the drm crap is getting really on my nerve: while most classic drm are advertised (especially playdrm, serials and other "common" stuff) there are many games with purposely hidden drm, and some of them packed even with malicious intentions, to the point that I ended up blacklisting some devs.

Now I don't know how much stuff shares the english version, but THERE ARE some of the devs I blacklisted on there.

Kind of a shame, since dlsite used to be a great store with pro-consumer approach and usually no drm, but since a few years it completely changed. What a waste.

You might want to check out .itch. While few Japanese games like Branded Azel are available, a new generation of Western h-game developers have been popping up there. Most of their games aren't finished, but it may be worth keeping an eye out. Far as I know, .itch permits DRM, but most games there don't have it. If a game isn't up to date on .itch, check the creator's patreon.

Haremon, Dandy Boy, Third Crisis, and Monster Girl Dreams are some of the items that have caught my attention. Maybe one of them would be a good time for you?

I know itch, but didn't know that NSFW stuff was allowed (albeit my point was in regard of the doujin circle in general).

Regarding its DRM, does itch always tells you if any DRM is implemented?

Thanks for the suggestion though. :)

Wouldn't rightly know, as I haven't come across any Itch game that had it. My first guess is that if someone has a game on Steam, they wouldn't bother with a smaller platform.

Any how, many western h-games are free during development or require Patreon for the latest development version. It is kinda like old-school shareware, but more beta.
With respect to itch.io here is what the site says about the topic (directed at developers):

Avoid only uploading keys or links to other stores
Please try not to upload just Steam keys, or put a link to your Steam store page without uploading any files. Someone buying a game on itch.io wants to to be able to access it on itch.io through our website and app. If possible, your uploads should be DRM free, but it isn’t a requirement.
In other words, DRM is allowed but discouraged.
