Does anyone here have any experience with this? I use to use the windows version and now found that there is one that is for linux. My problem is that now I can't connect to any public hubs as in it will not even list them! Just "Download failed: Connection refused" and when I search for any specific file on the one hub that I do know the address and am a member of, it just says searching but no results will pop up! Is this a firewall issue? how do I fix this?

I haven't used it but the official DC++ documentation outlines several solutions to this problem.

If none of the above helps, let us know if you're using the same router (with same configuration) as before and if you're connecting from the same ISP.

As for your question about firewall, it's disabled by default in Mint, so if you haven't activated it manually you shouldn't worry about it.

Update: I see there is an alternative program in the official repository called EiskaltDC++ so you may want to try this one too. To install it, open up terminal and type:

sudo apt-get install eiskaltdcpp
