Hi all,

my progress in the game is that I just received Kinetik Spells.
My question is however if they and any other mechanic in this game are any good
(and thus the game becomes more exciting and diverse and offers different opportunities)
or if I have to continue playing the game for the rest of the 20 hours in a way the Developers obviously intended to?
"Like the developers intened to" means always weaken the enemies with a Mastery spell first and then finish them off with Destroy spells.

Because this game has at least to offer groovy combat (and big ass whopping bosses)
in order to overlook the lame story and rail-like level design.

Well... If you want it to be exciting, forget about automatic inventory and invest time in learning crafting mechanics. Mastery -> destruction combo still tends to be extremely powerful, but you can toy around with delivery - my mage was a necromancer infecting enemies with festering blisters that matured into insects which flew around and infected more enemies, those then got subsequently attacked by my bigger summons. And just so I don't have to remain passive I mess around with lightning spells.

However, to get the most out of the system as opposed to always using the generic pre-defined spells, understanding crafting is essential. The game also doesn't do anything to remain interesting in itself, so unless you're willing to keep messing around with various spells, it'll get samey.
