Tried asking Atari to release My Horse & Me on Steam multiple times. The game is very expensive on ebay or amazon. What else can I do? I really want to play this game again and unfortunately it was only released physically.
Maybe purchase a few games while you are here. Seems a waste of a new account registration otherwise...
Oh, it's you again.

You never did follow up with a direct reply to my inquiry of what your obsession with this quarter rate game is.

Atari might not have the rights to it anymore, they where the publisher of the game, not the developers. Depending on contracts, the rights may have reverted back to the developer. If this is the case, it was created by the then Woedend! Games. This company underwent several name changes since then, but ended up as Force Field Entertainment, which was one of the dvelopers bought by Embracer Group when they did that big spurge back in August. So if this is the case, then the rights are with Embracer Group now.

If Atari do kept the rights (as My Horse & Me was released in 2007, after Atari was broken up and the corpse was bought by Warner), they (i.e. Warner) should still have the rights, but they just don't care about it, or do not think it is worht the investment making a digital version. This is can be understandable as it did not sell very well, and did not get great reviews.

It was also supersided by My Horse & Me 2 / My Horse & Me: Riding for Gold (yes, this is a games series....) in 2008/2009, which is basically more of the same but a bit improved.

Bottom line, I doubt Atari or Embracer Group will re-relese this game. It is too niche, there is not a large enough market for it. You need the subsection of users who a) want a game like this and b) don't mind older games. If anything will happen with this series, then most likely it will be that whoever has the rights will make a new game with the name, thouhg i do not see that happening either.

I'd love to see Test Drive Unlimited 1 and 2 here - but that would probably be a licensing nightmare w/ all of the cars and music in those.
I just saw a couple of gameplay videos of My Horse & Me on Wii and depending of the controls, it seems interesting. I voted the existing wishes to give some support to the cause:

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/my_horse_and_me
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/my_horse_me
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/my_horse_me_2

The number of votes are low, so I would keep very low expectations...

Meanwhile, May some of the forum members suggest some good horse riding vgames please?

Thanks for keep insisting Jackin123 :) A really bad inquisitor. Re-read

And I want original Test Drive trilogy games with all expansions and cars. Probably my only source is digital thieving like for all other unavailable games.

I didn't exactly consider that valid reasoning, and I still don't. I can give valid reasons why I'd want to play Voxar's Tumblebugs; such as finding the unique spin on vehicle combat with terrain you can damage to be quite charming since it uses no 3D acceleration.

Thanks for replying Darvond and fair enough. Seems a misunderstanding then and as an outsider I won't participate on that.

On the other hand, I did not know about Tumblebugs. Is this one?

If so, it might be added to your community wishlist (which I just voted to support it)
because it has a link for a demo.

At first glance Tumblebugs looks very interesting: by the pictures and also the technical aspects you mention, I I cannot wait to play the demo. Thank you for bring it to the table! :)

I was trying to find out which company has the rights to this game. W! Games changed its name to Vanguard Games, later to Force Field Entertainment, and now it is Vertigo Games - Amsterdam. And no, they no longer have the rights to the game.
After 2009, Bandai Namco Partners gained some rights to Atari games. But in 2013, Baindai Namco Partners changed its name to Bandai Namco Entertainmnet Europe. It was the distributor of games such as Test Drive Unlimited 2 or The Wichter 2 in Europe. I have contacted them and they also no longer have rights. It seems that only Atari must have the rights. If more than one player asks to re-release the game, it may be possible to restore it.
I rather doubt THQ Nordic has the rights to My Horse & Me.

I would also like these games to appear on GOG. Test Drive Unlimited 2 was on Steam, but it's not anymore. However, there can be a big problem with the licenses. Such games are unlikely to come back.

In the nicest possible way, would you actually buy "My Horse & Me" should it get a GoG re-release?

I mean, you've not bought any other games on this site, which given the sheer range of games available makes it somewhat surprising that you're holding out for a show jumping/horse ownership simulation.

Honestly, I created this account so that as many people as possible would remember about this game and asked Atari to be released together. I don't know a forum where a lot of players would learn about My Horse & Me.
Developers have never released a deletion patch, so the game still requires a disc. I have the DVD version but I'm afraid I will damage or lose the disc. So I am asking Atari to re-release it.

Well, not everyone will like these games. But they also have their fans.
Look, I know a lot of people are surprised that someone is interested in these games.
But there are a lot of comments on YouTube like "where can I buy this game", "How much is it" or "where can I download it". So it looks like some people want to play My Horse & Me.
