nicethugbert: How was I to know it was borderlands?

Sorry. I keep running into RPG Nazis and other assorted unhelpful types every time I look for help in a gaming forum. I've developed a toothy twitch.
It's in the video description. :) Nevermind, we misunderstood each other. Sorry for calling you humorless. In any case, we do like our irony and jokes and derailing here on GOG, you're probably not around enough to notice it yet, but it's almost never done in a mean way. We're just like that.

Looks like Lichdom: Battlemage has what I want.
I didn't realise Michael Bay had a GOG account. Welcome, Michael!
Shovel Knight's expansion fits all the requirements of the original post, so why is my first post in this topic "low rated"?

Edit: Why did the topic appear as read when there were new posts and the original post wasn't "low rated"? Forum bug maybe?

I would think of Michael Bay was a director behind any fairly modern video game that would probably be your best bet. Baysplosions!

nicethugbert: I'm looking for a game that features fast character movement and explosions, lots of explosions, like explosions as a main attack.

Any suggestions?
Hmm... You might try Prototype if you want fast movement and wanton destruction. It's more "carnage" than "explosions", but you can use rocket launchers and commandeer tanks when you want to blow things up.

You can sprint around the city at breakneck speeds, leap high into the air, run straight up buildings, and glide over the city. The sheer mobility of the character is amazing.

You can consume people, disguise yourself as your last victim, form your arms into brutally lethal melee weapons, and develop massively destructive attacks called Devastators.

The game features an experience system where you purchase upgrades to these powers as you progress.

Obviously, I love it. :) The second game is decent but not as good as the first.

I have prototype 2 and for some reason I never got into it. The sprinting is clumsy. But, other than that, the movement is awesome. I was playing MP games when I got it so that was a big reason why I didn't play it much.

Same thing happened with Amazing Spiderman 2 for me. Web slinging is so much fun. But, the game just didn't pull me in. For all the greatness of web slinging, there is a clumsiness to the sprinting. And the SP experience is kinda annoying for some reason.

I think it has something to do with open world busy work and other assorted nagging details. I just haven't wrapped my head around it yet.

I've noticed that the new posts system doesn't always work.
