So I was bored and decided it would be fun to come up with a concept for a redesign of the GOG user reviews. I also figured I might as well share them. I would appreciate feedback even if it is for fun.

This was made using pure HTML / CSS (also using Bootstrap 4 and Font Awesome). If anyone else would like to share something they want to create maybe we can turn this into a little contest of sorts?

You must of been really bored.
would be cool.
It looks like they stopped working on the website framework a few years ago.
Additional sorting options for reviews would be cool.
Apart from that, I don't see that much of a difference from the system as it is now tbh.

I admit I don't really read the reviews much but I like that design.

This was more about updating how it looks. A lot of the site has been updated but I felt the reviews are one part that could use some love. I did add sort options and the ability to edit / delete your review which would make reviews a lot more useful.

They have updated quite a bit. Just certain parts needs some TLC, like the reviews, forums, wishlist, etc.

Why are you posting images, though? Use JSFiddle or JS Bin and post your HTML/CSS/JS so we all could also mess with it. Not that GOG would ever use anything we'd come up with to improve the site, but could be a fun little project to play with while on a plane or something.

I thought about it. I have a personal account on codepen.io but I didn't want to use that. If you are interested I can post it somwhere though? Wasn't sure how much interest this would get.

I'm always up for messing with code. Half my day is spent on reddit, answering peoples JS questions and fixing their broken stuff. Well, maybe not half the day... =)

But yea, you can do an anonymous JSFiddle and share it. Then all the subsequent changes are saved with an incremented URL.
I must admit that while I like the design, a visual refresh wouldn't fix the abysmally small character limit. Let me put as many words to fill a 1.44 MB space

Okay let me do a little bit of clean up and I'll post something latter today. Do remember this is purley HTML / CSS, I never bothered to add JS because I wasn't going to share it. But if somebody wants to make the up / down vote buttons work, etc. have at it.

I have been told that after very serious consideration, GOG has decided to respectfully opt against BKGaming's suggestions and rather focus on a redesign which will make the site look more like this.

Additional options for sorting would be awesome, but I *really* dislike flat/material (I think it's called?) "2010s" design.

I just made an account, I'll update with the original post with a link. I made it public so I believe it is set up right? Let me know if you have any issues. I'm not use to using JSFiddle.

I also made a few changes...

GOG not take our suggestions... I'm shocked (not really). :P

Even the game browsing is not ideal.
You can t sort by price, for example.

I would say... Yes. The website is generally static by a few years.
