Hi one of my favorite games and a classic is Labyrinth from Lucas Film Games released in 1986. I'm sure most people have seen the movie with Jim Hensons puppets. Will we ever see this on GOG. It is old you may say but I loved the game it was great and an Instabuy if it ever came up for sale on GOG. Bring Labyrinth to GOG please!

One can only hope. It's one of my favorite movies of all time, so I'd love to see the game here (although I'm not sure how fun I would really find it). I'm not sure why it's not here, with all the other LucasArts stuff. If it were some other game I'd hope for a remaster in the works, but Labyrinth is hardly popular enough for that.
I'm not sure there even was a PC version of this game (I've only played it at my C64).
Wasn't there a text adventure as well? Now a remake done in say King's Quest/Legend of Kyrandia-style would be cool.

It starte as a text adventure. But once you entered the cinema, it changed to a point-and-click adventure.
I can only imagine the tangled web of licensing involved with trying to secure the rights to a game published by Activision, developed by LucasArts (now owned by Disney) with collaboration from Douglas Adams, and based on a movie by The Jim Henson Company. Especially considering some of those parties aren't on the best of terms with each other currently.
If I am not wrong It was the very first Lucas game published.

It is a very primitive game indeed. It would be available here only for archive reasons and/or because It was a Lucas game. Talented people inside. This should be enough to pass the curating system. and to keep filling the collection. But I fear that is Disney who is not interested in the rereleasing of games like Labyrinth or even Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe and their brothers

I thought i remembered playing it on PC as well, hmm if not they could always emulate it though, I was fairly certain I was playing it on my old IBM Packard Bell computer my parents bought. Anyways, it was very enjoyable so I'd really like to see it on here. We got the old version of M.U.L.E not that pretty really the C64 version was better. Labyrinth had very high production value for the day so its definitely worth a playthrough again, I actually never finished it I got stuck near the end of the game.
The game was not released on DOS. That isn't the main issue, though as they could just emulate the Apple II version (as they have already done for a number of games).

The main issue is that, unlike other Lucasfilm games, Labyrinth was not published by Lucasfilm themselves. As a result, the original publisher (Activision) would have to seek a deal with Lucasfilm/Jim Henson Company. And unless there is legitimate interest within the company, no publisher will bother with a licensing headache for a 35-years-old game that will be sold for a mere 6 bucks (with reduced profit to account for licensing).

Crappy game and GoG should not waste resources on it.
An old adventure game that is based on third party IP, not published by Lucasfilm, and no PC version available.

For all practical purposes, the chances of that coming here or anywhere are zero.

It would be a great addition from the historical perspective though. I just don't see that game having so much commercial potential that a big group of lawyers would sit down to solve whatever open legal issues there are about that.
Even those solved, which version and what third party software would be used to make it playable on PC? Not a trivial question either.

It would be easier to wish Sierra's early games (when they weren't even called Sierra) to come here. Less legal issues, less technical problems, arguably more historical significance (not necessarily better games, but that's a matter of preference).

Did you actually play it?

Edit: nevermind, of course it's just a troll.
