Isn't it amazing if you have to pay more if you buy things in a bundle? It certainly is unexpected.

Oriza-Triznyák: A small complain .

- a " complete " bundle should include all the DLCs not only the base games
I mean: 82% (Complete Bundle) off all10 base games together, is pretty good already.

One can hardly blame them for the decision, to not sell off their complete portfolio, at the same discount.
DLCs are where game companies make most of their money nowadays.

They give you the base game for cheap, hoping that you like what you see, and that you then spend your money on their (also "cheap", yet usually non-discounted) DLCs.

And in this case, there are only three DLCs in total:
- Moonshine Inc. - Supporter Pack for €9,99
- The Amazing American Circus - Ringmaster's Essentials for €4,99
and
- The Amazing AMerican Circus - Circus Symphony for €3,99

That's €18,97 in total.

If you buy the "Complete Bundle", you'll only pay €29,69...instead of the undiscounted full price of €164,99 (which would also not contain the DLCs, btw).

Now, if you're really so keen on also owning all three DLCs (probably without even having played the base games, yet?) - then simply pay the €18,97 extra.

Then you'll pay a total of €48,66.
So what?

That's still ~71% off the usual base price.

Most people would still consider that to be a pretty good discount.

The sad part of it is that they already had amazing bundles a few years ago. Then they replaced them with those pathetic monstrosities we have now. How... disappointing.

The BYOB pages, right? I miss those…

GOG.com: it brings Klabater Complete Bundle and Klabater Franchise Bundle with amazing discounts!
If we only could get back the old bundle pages where you easily could see which games you already own and the bundle price would go down with each already owned game. That would be truly amazing!

I assume GOG has noticed by now that these "bundles" are not held in high regard, yet they offer them to us every time.

Although bundles now generate keys for games already owned, they remain an unnecessary waste of money for those who already own even 2-3 games in the bundle.
Don't mean to be a nitpicker, but isn't 75% off $49.97 actually $12.49? I mean I know math is hard, but I know with certainty that 75% off $50.00 is $12.50 (4 times $12.50 equals $50.00) so wouldn't $12.49 be 75% off $49.97 (4 times $12.4925 times 4 equals $49.97).

you could also just do 49.97*0.25=12.4925

(the logic being that 1=100%, so -75% is 1-0.75=0.25. this is an easy way to do simply any % reduction, just subtract the % reduction from 1 and time that with the original number.)

I think they're being too cute because they landed on the precise penny that makes the discount equal 74.5% (thus rounded up to 75%) At $12.74 it meets that mark. At $12.75 it doesn't.

So, using that logic, any sale that says is 50% off could be manipulated in the same way. So 50% of $50.00 could then be $25.25 instead of what we would know should be $25.00 even.

I suppose, due to rounding, they're not technically engaged in false advertising (at $12.74 it is 74.504702 roughly, so rounded it's 75%) but it's really, really a shady practice to do that.

EDIT: I am posting about the Klabater Franchise Bundle, which is listed as a regular price of $49.97 and $12.74 as 75% off. I wonder if they're including the publishers extra cut from that extra half a percentage point or keeping it all themselves. In other words, are they telling their publishers/distributors that they are charging $12.49 which is 75% off and figuring out the publishers/distributors cut on that price, while keeping the "extra" $0.25 for themselves only. At a quarter for each sale, it could amount to quite a few bucks if they sell say, 10,000 units. (10,000 extra Quarters is a cool $2,500.00. Not nothing.)
