I am wondering when gog is going to stop letting the kagura games rpgs on here 5 a day get released. they are rpg maker games made in 2 days and then they charge 20 to 40 bucks a game haha the rpg section is over runned by kagura. what can we do about it?

We? Absolutely bugger all. It's up to the GOG staff to decide there's some bar of quality and to actually curate.
I guess they sell well and gog earn money, otherwise gog wouldn't launch them. There should be a button to hide games with not interest for an user, like in the library is.
Ask them to release other rpg maker games like Vampires dawn 3, Hybris pulse of ruin, Numina.
And also only play the good and buy Kagura games which aren't done in 2 days.
Like Dungeon Town i had to play 69 hours to beat across all saves and that was a good Kagura game.
Rpg maker shouldn't be too much underestimated since they can make good games with such an engine.
But i also don't like where they don't use their own assets for their games.
5 a day? Stop being so overly dramatic. There's only 60 kagura games here.

I'm assuming you haven't actually played these games but you feel compelled to judge anyway...

I have my own complaints about kagura but these are a personal thing and shouldn't sway curators. First, I don't care for the vastly oversized melons a lot of the kagura games feature. Second, none of them seem to include original Japanese language, which is super disappointing.

There's one upcoming DLC with screenshots showing Japanese: https://www.gog.com/en/game/chevalier_historie_append

However, the supported languages claim no Japanese text.. so I'm assuming these are preliminary screenshots and the original language will be gone once the actual release is out :(

What you can do about it? Just learn to ignore things you don't like. Use filters in the catalog.

I don't really get this recent trend of people complaining about games they haven't played and don't like... should I also go whine about all those indie pixel platformers & metroidvanias in today's release thread? Should I complain that there are too many THQ Nordic releases (more than twice the number of Kagura releases)? And all those greedy devs charging more than fifteen buxx for friggin unity games? Nah, that's not how it works.

Heck, I'd take Ren'Py games over RPG Maker! Which what a coinkydink, a newly released game does.
I also don't like it when it's very obvious that the stock assets are in use. RPG maker has a very distinct menu sound.
Kagura brought Demons Roots and for that I'll be forever in their debt, I wouldn't have discovered that masterpiece otherwise (I mean, probably)

Also i started playing mostly rpg maker games since i was a teenager when i found out about bravo screenfun and mondschein rpg maker game, i did have some computer troubles and somehow rpg maker games were played the most since i liked the format of the games and beaten 65 of rpg maker games in mostly german and some english language. Most were free though only bought a few worthy rpg maker games for now. When one of my graphic cards died on computer and had to play what i could with an even weaker graphic card it was rpg maker games and rollercoaster tycoon deluxe i played the most.
Also liked to play a lot of strategy games what i don't really like is point and click games, but complaining from me about that won't happen.
Had a weak pc for long with win xp. Now i at least have win 10 and play various games.
I think you meant to say that the issue with Kagura is that they use stock assets, and it makes their games look cheap in comparison to the other developers that don't use stock assets. It's really off putting if you've been through the RPG category tag on itch and see lots of free games using RPG Maker's stock assets then look at what Kagura wants for its games. Saying that, I'm pretty sure that they do spend more than two days making these things even if the use of stock assets do make it look like they're just churning out low quality porn.

Very nice! *thumbs up* ;)
To note, i created a script that will help remove grind on many RPG maker games, increasing experience 10x, gold 10x, and increases rarity drops by 4x. (repeat multiple times to get hundreds or thousands of times the experience per battle)

If anyone is interested.....

Don't buy them? I prefer less curation to the more of the past, as long as the games released are relatively bug-free.

If the problem is them clogging up the catalog, I'd for sure be in favor of more filtering options for people who don't want to see them.

Damn, I see there's a huge misconception with the games Kagura publishes, they're NOT the devs, all these RPG maker games come from dlsite (for the most part) and were developed by entirely different indie developers. Kagura just translate those games.
