Same as vv221 and SentientNo4, I also received the sale ending email. After double checking i'm 100% unsubscribed from everything, however i did made some purchases during the sale and now i'm thinking that was a mistake.

Gudadantza: Maybe you forgot to unsusbcribe, just in case, if you claimed the last giveaway in the sale.
I did not, I obviously double-checked before posting here ;)

I got the unsolicited e-mail despite not buying anything during this sale, my last purchase was The Witcher 3 a bit more than two months ago (not that I plan to play it anytime soon, but for 3€ it sounded like a good time to store a copy away).

Wow

great GOG Fans we have here. One mail from their store for years and it is spam. Ok.

This is what I leant so far in this forum:

-Galaxy is evil, and offline installers are garbage because torrents are better.

-One emal or account is DRM

-If someone dislikes what he consider lies in a thread because of intepretation of DRM, he is advised by a blue.

-discover a troll is not an achievement but worse for you

Fans? We're talking about a store's forum users, where is it a requirement for them to be "fans"?
And e-mails you did not opt in sent by a business to are spam, unquestionably.

I am not a fan, I am a customer. This isn't the first instance where Gog sends me unsolicited marketing emails despite me being explicitly unsubscribed (you made that up, no surprise), which is very against GDPR.

Se Gog repeatedly go agaisnt GDPR regulations and when customers complain about it they ignore them (my support ticket has remained unanswered to this moment) and the whiteknights come out of the shed to defend their illegal practices.

Guess this site is a cult now, time to mark all Gog comms as spam and stay away.

I meant and I talked about supporters who use GOG as their main store, probably not you, nothing wrong, of course. So obviouslly my commentary was not related to you. Relax.

I talked about sers who are interested in those emails for discounts or info. And treat them as emails form a legit origin.

And also what I mean is that usually those cases where users complain about the unwanted emails are users who did not unsubscribe when claimed any giveaway.

Just a very common behaviour forgetting if you are subscribed again, just an idea. Because It is not the first time it happened.

Really the simpler use to be the truth in a majority of the cases.
