FFS, take a break. I'll bask in your radiant wisdom. Does that make you feel better?

I purchased a game over the holidays and was not given technical support. My grandchild left not being able to play the game and will not be back for six months. I wanted a refund and not to use the service again. the company does not respond and will not be able to be contacted other than emails. The consumer should have a right to a properly working game and refund if that is not available. i do not want store credit when i never want to use the service again.

Not really clear what your problem is, or what you tried to do to fix it. Not with the game, but with contacting support. Did you email them? Did you create a support ticket? We can probably help you out a little but you need to be clearer.

Also probably best to not semi-necro a thread about looking for a GOG phone number. Especially one that has been marked "SOLVED"
Are there any Blues hanging out in here today? My suggestion is find one and give them the post.

It's a grandparent looking for help dealing with computers. As long as they're acting like they're trying, I'm going to cut them some slack for not being hep with the times.

You can create a support ticket:
https://www.gog.com/support

Keep in mind that opening new tickets or even replying to the first one usually pushes the ticket down in the queue. Be patient, it usually takes 1-2 business days for support to answer.

This little nugget of viral misinformation was debunked long ago (by one of the higher-up blues, mind you). They can sort support e-mails by lots of criteria, including by "most recent".
Hello. I bought a game, Empire Earth golden edition, which crashes or rather freezes every time I play after only a few minutes. I have tried to contact custoner support but don't understand why it is so difficult to do this.
Why can't I just send them a simple message without all this hassle of sending info about operating systems etc etc?
Maybe they don't want to receive any messages from customers or what?

Why do you think info about operating systems etc. isn't relevant to requesting support for a crashing game?

You just want to send a simple message like "Hey GOG people my game isn't working please help ktnxbye" and then they'll just wave their magic game software wand and you'll live happily ever after?
