Hi there!

A few months back if one wanted to play, let say Unreal Tournament 2004 ECE online with other people, one had to write to the support for a unique cd-key, and that was indicated even on the store page.
Now there is no mention of unique cd-key anywhere on the store page, or in the game's page in library, or in the support section of the game, what does that means?
If we want to play it in multiplayer we must use the Galaxy client or the option for a unique cd-key from the support is still available, for that game and for others?

I'm pretty sure that the Galaxy-supported games are still:

Aliens vs Predator Classic 2000
Double Dragon Trilogy
Rise of the Triad (2013)
Witcher Adventure Game

So no. You don't need Galaxy to play Unreal Tournament 2004 or other serial-enabled multiplayer games (like Two Worlds).
For older games probably not, for new games coming out in the future - who knows. So I guess that it might be a yes. There could be games coming out that require Galaxy to run and you to authentificate for playing multiplayer. It would be DRM but I also guess GOG would not see this as so critical.
