I recently attempted to play Runaway Twist of fate 3 but when I try to launch it from shortcut it brings up a warning asking if I would like this app to make changes to my hard drive. The shortcut has a admin shield icon on the shortcut, I went into properties and unchecked admin but I don't know if its safe to uninstall. My question is why did the game automatically assume Admin privileges? I've already launched this game once a few weeks ago it worked fine for the ten minutes I played it but when I tried to launch it today it asked to make changes to my device inspite of already being installed. I would like to know is it safe to uninstall from my control panel? and also is it normal for this game to assume admin to run?
Depends on stuff.

If you installed it in Program Files or something like that on the drive of your Windows installation (presuming you have windows installed), it needs admin privileges to access that kind of location.

If the save game, configuration or cache files location is set to such a protected area, they also need admin privileges to access the hard drive there in order to write the save/config/cache files.

The same for uninstalling it.

There are other cases as well of course, some of which not so friendly to users. And each one has to be checked individually.

I'm storing them in my GOG Directory in my C: Drive on Windows 10 launching the offliners from their own file on desktop. I've been launching and storing games like this since 2021 never had this type of problem. But at the same time Runaway 3 seems to be trying to install an extra app some type of after installer instead of going to the game from the shortcut it asks to make additional changes to my drive wanting me to launch some type of installer. I came to the forums instead of support cause GOG has made it really difficult to file a support report. I've uninstalled the game safely it hasn't affected anything, I made sure any Admin controls it had were removed, don't know why it did that. I've played several old games since I first joined GOG never had this happen. I'm not gonna attempt to play it until I can find out if theres something wrong with this game.
