I have Ys Origin and Ys 6 Ark DRM Free from Humble and want to link them to GOG Galaxy.

Is that possible? If so how?

Thanks in advance...

Hi, GOG Connect options are rare and usually only show up during a major sale. There may be something similar to what you're looking for in GOG Galaxy 2.0, but I don't personally know so you should maybe ask on the Galaxy 2 forum: click "Community" -> under General Forums click "GOG GALAXY 2.0 discussion"
There's a link to a GOG Galaxy 2.0 community integration for Humble Bundle on this page:
https://github.com/Mixaill/awesome-gog-galaxy

I've not used this one.

You need Galaxy 2 for that. With the Humble plugin you'll be able to see your Humble purchases and download the installers with Galaxy's help. But you don't need this, if you simply want to see your games in and launch your games through Galaxy:

- Hit Ctrl-F
- Find your game
- Click "Mark as owned" (it's now in your games list)
- Click "Link executable" and point Galaxy to the .exe or .bat file that launches the game (you can launch in Galaxy)

You can even make this work for emulated games, if you can create batch files that load the emulator with the game. So it's possible to create ie. a turrican.bat that launches WinUAE with the config that loads Turrican (Amiga) and start that with Galaxy.
GoG connect only happens rarely and is controlled realy by the bublishers.

you could try contacting the Pubs with proof of purchase and ask if they're willing to give you a GoG key.

Paratech2008:
Just to clarify, since no one else has:

GOG Connect is a promotional program that allows GOG and their partners to make games available to redeem on GOG if you already have them in your Steam account. Each Connect promotion is time-limited, but any games redeemed through it are in your GOG library for good.

Galaxy 2.0's "all your games in one place" feature works differently. It's basically like a more advanced version of the Steam client's "add non-Steam game" feature -- the game will appear in the launcher, but it won't be added to your library, and I doubt it will even show up in your GOG user profile on the website.

I apologize if you already understood this; the topic title mentions the magic word "connect", and there have been A LOT of posts here and elsewhere on the Internet over the years by people confused about how GOG Connect works. :)

Thanks, This is what I was asking about...NOT CONNECT... I'm sorry I was unclear.

Depends on what you define as "your library". It's not added to your GOG account, but to your owned games in Galaxy. For me this is "my library" :-), no matter where the games originate from.

Maybe some day GOG will back-incorporate a view to the website, so people can show off their backlogs, GOG games or not.

In this context, your GOG library, obviously. If you can't download a GOG copy (and any associated goodies), or take advantage of Galaxy features specific to that game (achievements, cloud saves whatever else), then it's not really in your GOG library in any meaningful sense, even if it can be launched via Galaxy and is visible to your Galaxy-using friends as being owned by you.
There are a few reasons I want to add non gog to galaxy...

1) The emulators for many of the neo geo games suck. No save states, and other features I want. I can use an emulator to play games i legally purchased on gog I like. I can save disk space. I have features I want like save states.

2) If I have a DRM Free game from GOG or another legal site, why buy it on gog. I just want to play the games.

3) Some games like Doom can be ran from better free engines than the ones provided by GOG. The newer DOS Box also does a better job of old games and I can just use the New DOS Box with all the DOS games I have on GOG.

I hope that clears things up...

So, did you try either Snickersnack's or toxicTom's solution yet?
I've used Toxic Tom's but still have to figure out doing the neo geo ones ties to an emulator so I can boot the emulator with each game individually....

Thanks for the helpful advice...

To do that you're going to have to figure out the launch parameters for your emulator of choice. So you make an entry for the game in Galaxy (which it sounds like you've already done), link the emulator as the exe and then go into the menu -> Manage Installation -> Configure.
There there should be a box for you to put launch arguments in - once you find out what the arguments are for your emulator then you can put them there.
Thanks...
