I'm curious why the need to delete the account as well.
I mean, you may end up wanting to come back for some reason, at some point.
For instance:
- If you have a Humble account, you may have a Humble Choice with GOG games for a particular month.
- If you have Amazon Prime, they give out GOG codes (which there has been a ton of the last few months).
- But most of all, some of the games you've bought may have critical updates you may want. Some may be game breaking.
- There may also be new Expansions or DLCs that significantly add the the game.
- You may have questions about 1 of the games you own, where you can ask on the forum, but only if you're logged in.
Anyway, there are so many reasons for not deleting an account and honestly I can't even think of one reason to do so.
But it's your account, so I suppose it's not up to us to decide. Or is the reason you're closing it cause you have another main account?
If you're really intent on deleting it, then buy a cheap game as a gift to your own email and donate the code it to a giveaway thread like BenKii's 6th Giveaway. Be sure to follow the donate rules though, it'll avoid complications for the people who host those threads.
Or better yet, find one more game for yourself. :)
Oh and don't forget to claim any free games on GOG (some may be of interest to you), including the one being given away today: Milo and the Christmas Gift
