UPDATE: Last chance to grab your games from the original list! Make sure to get them until June 8, 12:59 PM UTC.

Want more games? We've got more games! Three new titles are now available through GOG Connect:

- Kona
- Defender's Quest
- Door Kickers

You can get them until June 13, 1:59 PM UTC.

Today, we're launching a new program called GOG Connect. The premise is simple: connect your Steam account and add your eligible games to your GOG.com library.

Whether you're checking us out for the first time or have been with us for a while, GOG Connect gets you DRM-free versions of your games, digital extras, and a whole lot of freedom of choice (like whether you go with the GOG Galaxy client or not). It gets you our take on game ownership, and we say: why buy the games more than once?

Thanks to our awesome partners including Deep Silver, Harebrained Schemes, Jonathan Blow's Number None, TaleWorlds and more, you can now add more than 20 games to your GOG.com library if you previously purchased them on Steam.

The full list of games will always be available on connect.gog.com, starting with these and more:

- The Witness
- FTL: Faster Than Light
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
- Galactic Civilizations 3
- Trine Enchanted Edition
- Saints Row 2
- Shadowrun Returns
- The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

While GOG Connect will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles onboard in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!

For a bit more library-building, a bunch of our favorite titles will also be discounted up to -85% all week long, including The Witness, Saints Row: The Third, System Shock 2 and more. You can check out all the deals here. The sale will last until June 6, 12:59 PM UTC.

Luned: Does MadyNora's post possibly apply?

avatar
MadyNora: Wow nice!
Many people report that GOG can't recognise their games.
Do you have your profiles set to "private"? If it's private, GOG can't read what games you have.
I un-privated it for 3 minutes to redeem my games (Braid and Broken Sword), then went back to private again.

judge yourself
Though it's not working, I trust it will. ;)
Thanks GOG:)
Is it the Privacy setting on your Steam profile? Should I be lowering it to "everyone" rather than "friends only"?

Why is the page actually saying "Unavailable Games"? Shouldn't they all be available?

Or is it just the amount of people linking and refreshing?

*confused*

One more refresh for the road, then I'll leave it for a couple of hours and try again.
Wow! I never imagined this would ever happen...

Anyway, I'm not a great fan of steam, so probably I won't get much.

Noxany: Apprently they failed to mention that you have to set you Steam Profile Privacy settings to Public for the Proflie Status and the Inventory. It showed all my games after doing changeing those settings from Friends Only.
So if it doesn't work for you it might be those settings.
Doesn't work for me. :(
So, i have 12 of the games on the list but the system don´t mark as owned, all my settings on steam are public, somebody can help me?
No games for me but it's a great idea nonetheless. =)

InkPanther: If I understand your post correctly, you got it wrong. This allows you to add games from Steam to your GOG library. It doesn't turn GOG into Steam key reseller.
Oh, I understand that. I just think it isn't far from it either - now even GOG incentivizes becoming a steambot. Create a Steam account and get x games for free on GOG. Buy Steam keys for GOG games whenever bundled for next-to-nothing with the aim of GOGnecting. It's not the same as selling them, but it's definitely incentive for buying them. And I wonder what's in it for GOG.
Yeah, not finding anything for me either.
never mind...

DavidG7496: I have Bit.Trip Runner, Braid, FTL and To The Moon on Steam but I still get "No eligible games found" (and yes, already refreshed a couple times)...

amok: general message to all those who say "I have XXX game, but it is not working"

It is stated in the OP that the only games this applies to right now is:

"- The Witness
- FTL: Faster Than Light
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
- Galactic Civilizations 3
- Trine Enchanted Edition
- Saints Row 2
- Shadowrun Returns
- The Witcher: Enhanced Edition "

Therefore, any Braids. Bit.Trip, To the moon etc is not going to work. More games will apparently be added later.
Uh, no, you're wrong - the list you quoted isn't the complete list.
It's also stated in the OP that "you can now add more than 20 games".

RayRay13000: GOG Connect. Convenient feature, or first phase of Gabe Newell/Amazon Invasion?

In all seriousness, this is an interesting feature. I don't have any use for it now (already have most of the games I'm interested in here), but when more games get added I'll probably use it.
Has nothing to do with Valve. The participating publishers are allowing GOG to put copies of the GOG versions of the selected games on your GOG shelf if you can prove ownership of the game on Steam.
"NO ELIGIBLE GAMES FOUND"

I have at least a couple (Xenonauts, To The Moon).

EDIT: it worked for me eventually, after setting my Steam profile to 'public', waiting a bit (around an hour) and trying to connect again.

Hm, it doesnt recognize any of the games it should :/

Braid
Shadowrun returns
Breach and clear
Saint's Row 2

It keeps saying no eligible games found, and yes, I have my profile set to public. I don't care if people see my huge backlog. I'm working on it!
