All of everything is back, plus some new stuff.

It's the incredible, the amazing, the stunning Indie Piñata Grande Finale!

Welcome to the final blowout. It's 24 hours of every deal and Pinata so far, all to bring this weeklong event to its grande conclusion. Among these exceptional offers is the return of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter - now in an all-new, totally improved Unreal Engine 4 Redux edition. There's the most delicious combination of words in gaming, also known as Sunless Sea, and of course - there is a handful of completely new Piñatas so you can keep on whackin' on!

What is the Indie Piñata?
The Indie Piñata is a whacky gaming sale brought to you by Crunching Koalas and GOG.com, a weeklong celebration of diverse indie games - organised to help gamers (you) discover great indie titles without breaking the bank. Instead, we'll break the Piñata! A lot.

There's so much stuff.
There's stuff alright, with plenty of video game stuffing.
We've got a hefty selection of deals up to 80% off - all indies, all highly recommended - this includes titles like Kerbal Space Program (-33%), NEO Scavenger (-50%), Legend of Grimrock 2 (-75%), and MouseCraft (-80%), so that you can pick and choose what you play (but it's probably best to get them all just in case).

Whack your Piñata!
If you're fond of surprises, for $3 (or your local equivalent), you can grab your own 100% whackable Piñata and find a random indie wonder inside - handpicked by us and Crunching Koalas. The Piñata can include games anywhere from $9.99 to $44.99, so there's a deal (and a satisfying POP) behind every swing - and we’ll be ready to congratulate those of you who show off your discounted gains on Twitter with the hashtag #IndiePinata!

The Promo and Piñata include a completely separate batch of games, so there's plenty of variety and surprises - we'll also rotate the Promo and Piñata lineup after three days, just so that things don't get too stale. The Indie Piñata promo will last until 9/18/2015, 9:59AM GMT. Just remember - check yourself, before you whack yourself.
Batter up!

I actually got a game I had on my wishlist.

FoxySage: Apparently Wasteland 2 and Pillars of Eternity is in gog's indie game category. Who will be the lucky person to hit the jackpot with one of those? :P
avatar
Pheace: Just spam buy pinatas till you get what you want and refund the rest :)
that would be an option but prepaid wont allow that i guess,
unless it could be turned to store credit , this way it can be used again if games appear that we do want to buy
and gog would not loose anything since the cash stays and will buy other games.

anyways i do get some expensive games to my collection, but having some cheapo games that i actually can play would be better.

moonshineshadow: So if I buy the pinata thing as gift and then go on to redeem the code... Do I get to see what game it is before clicking the final redeem button?
If you buy as a gift you won't see what games you get before you pay.
Is there a way of telling what platforms the pinatas are available on? I'm using Linux, and I don't want to get a Windows-only game.
Wow, logging on and already this many posts! I still have to have my coffee, but I look forward to checking this out. I imagine there's already a tracking thread of what folks have gotten from their piñatas. :D
I got Shadow Warrior (a 34 dollar game) for 3 dollars. I'm a happy man :D
Yeah, I don't gamble nor do I plan to start. Maybe fun for some.
Just whacked the pinata and Machinarium Collector's Edition fell out. Guess I've got a gift key now. :)

hafizadam: If I understand it correctly, Pinatas and Promos are different line-up?
is it safe to assume those in Pinatas are not in Promos?
avatar
Cypisss: Yep, hidden Pinata games and the indie titles available from the main page are two completely separate lineups :)
whoa! country alert! we got stateside gog staffers lurking! I guess the planned US office is up now. say bonjour to rambourg from us.
Bought two, got Spelunky and Book of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles. No interest in the latter, but Spelunky is fairly good, hoping it'll run via WINE. Of course, I'd rather they give bias to random games by what platform you're on so you can play what you get without resorting to that, but I suppose that is asking a bit much, isn't it?
I bought a couple of Piñata's one by one. I got a message at a certain moemnt that I owned everything in this batch. So if you buy them 1 by 1 you should get maximum 1 game you already own (and I got the warning before that).

If you buy more than 1 Piñata at the same time you can get more games you already own (if you already own all games in the Piñata)..
Have your resolved the OS issue with this kind of surprise games?
Nice to see a big sales promo today but unfortunately I've not got a lot of time to sift through the entire list of games on sale looking for things of interest. I tried to view just a list-view of what's on sale both at the bottom of the front page and by going to the "Games" page and clicking on a filter to show only "discounted" games, but there is no sorting option to sort by price so you still have to go over the entire list.

Please add a "sort by price" option like Steam and other sites have, sometimes people are looking to pick up some things that are heavily discounted that they might otherwise not buy but it's whimsical purchasing so if they have to spend a lot of time they might not bother. :)

It's nice to see experimentation with different promotional concepts like this however even if it's not specifically my cup of tea personally as others tend to like such things and having variety is good. I think I'll hold out for the fall and winter promos though, those are usually my faves. :)

Enjoy the promo everyone.

P.S. Please please please add "sort by price" and let it sort by lowest or highest price first, and preferably with an option to filter out DLC and just see games. I find that very very useful on other game sites and often end up buying tonnes of games I wouldn't have bothered with otherwise.

Johny.: We're making sure that you only find games that you don't have yet. But if you already own every game hidden in the Piñata, we'll convert your spare copies to a gift.
So why did my first Piñata contain a game I already own, when there are at least two in the tracking thread that I don't own? I'm guessing "limited quantities" again, which means the above isn't strictly true. If it were I would keep trying until I got Republique, but now I suspect I could go all day and just keep getting titles I own.
@GOG
Would you plase fix your forum? No matter what I try, I can't get beyond post 161 in this thread (page 8 with 20 post per page, page 4 with 40, page 3 with 50 - 10 and 30 posts per page are even worse and stop at post 151, or page 15 or 5).This happens every time you have a thread with lots of new posts -.-
ps. this means I can't even see (or edit) my own post :P
