I am trying to add a machinegun but the game just screws up for me and crashes but it used to work any advice?

Well, judging from the slipshod spelling in the title, I'd have to guess that you somehow corrupted a key file or even the executable itself.

Maybe just stick to the cheats on GameFAQs.
