Did you ever wonder what the French Revolution would look like in a Lovecraftian version? Well, we got the answer right here: Liberté, a story-driven, top-down rogue-like set in an alternate-history, is available on GOG in its early access!

Immerse yourself in the adventure that infuses the French Revolution-era setting with cosmic horrors known from H.P. Lovecraft. Choose your allies, fight relentless enemies and decide who will bring the new order in the terror-filled Paris.

Note: This game is currently in development. See the FAQ to learn more about games in development, and check out the forums to find more information and to stay in touch with the community.
I took the Liberté of popping it into the forum...

Silly me...
early access lovecraftian roguelike. the trifecta to ignore.
This game looks interesting...

... but...

... a quick look online shows what I would call a troubled EA elsewhere (over the last year).

How does GOG make a determination on EA games?

CONFUSION.

I once thought they had to be of a high level of polish already...

... but...

... that seems not to be the case.

If not, GOG there are MANY EA games that are interesting and closer to release.
This game reminds me a lot of Victor Vran. Does this also have jumping?

No, it doesnt seem to have. It does have 2 kinds of dodge though - dash and dodge roll.
I'm not sure yet what's the difference between the two. Roll seems to be longer (you move farther) I guess?

Maybe. I'll find out when it's closer to being out of development. Was going to buy it now but my backlog is already huge.

Understandable.
Generally speaking though, the game is alright, if a bit clunky when playing mouse + keyboard. I'm quite sure using pad would alleviate some (if not all) of the issues, but I don't have one so I can't say myself.
Looks pretty nice - wishlisted for now. Pricing seems fair as well.
Coop + Story sounds pretty nice too - Guess it might be good purchase for holiday season.
Oooh, can't wait for the whole trilogy to be released. I'm sure Fraternité and Egalité will be just as good. /joke
An RPG?
