We definitely asked for this.

Ashes of the Singularity, a vastly ambitious RTS of clashing transhuman armies, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com with GOG Galaxy support and a 25% launch discount.

Was relying on A.I.s to transcend our biological limitations ever going to end well? Sure, post-humans may have used their unprecedented potential to conquer space, transform the planet, and achieve feats once thought unimaginable. But the greedy, manipulative human nature apparently transcends all. And once triumphs over technology and space became commonplace, so did the war for ultimate supremacy.

It is fitting that a game dealing with the aftereffects of technological overreliance would utilise a multi-core A.I. that can simulate the challenge posed by (trans)human opponents in an awe-inspiring way. Developers Stardock are extremely proud of their A.I. engine but also of the sprawling maps over which the players' super-detailed units will do battle. And while they keep themselves busy implementing community feedback regarding gameplay mechanics and balancing, they still aim to eventually add more playable factions, game modes, global abilities, and the single-player Ascendancy War.

Transcend the constraints of human nature and emerge victorious from the Ashes of the Singularity, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 25% discount will last until February 2, 1:59 PM GMT.

Note: This game is currently in development. See the FAQ to learn more about games in development, and check out the forums to find more information and to stay in touch with the community.

So, now is gog.com also offering games that are still in development. I'm not sure whether I like this idea or not. I tend more to not...
Looks cool, but I'll wait for the finished product.
40 regionally priced buckaroos for a game that's not even done?
No thanks.
Looks pretty though.
I like how this looks, but the price is much too high for a game still in development.

Same here, not to mention my PC only meets to minimum requirements and not the recommended. The game probably wouldn't run well for me.
Nice looking game, but the price is too high for an in development game. I will keep an eye on this one though.
I would buy the game, but my PC just meets the minimum system requirements, so....yeah.
It also appears that the video on the store page is set to private at present.
I just ordered a new PC for gaming :)

and its graphic card will be to weak :(

okok, that was on purpose; its just a placeholder VGA till the next gen cards get released in a few months.

I think I will wait till Stardock makes the Linux version available later this year. Still looking forward to it.

Edit: Also since Oxide is working on Vulcan (aka the directx replamecement) this game should use graphics cards on Linux and other OS very good.

There, bought it a second time, I did. Keep my promise, I did.
Note to the blues: the gamecard's 'visit the forums' link points to https://www.gog.com/forum/general instead of https://www.gog.com/forum/ashes_of_the_singularity

Fixed :)
Game looks good but I'm looking forward to see if the claims about the A.I. prove true. Being a single-player, AI plays a major role in my enjoyment and one that acts like a human and doesn't cheat sounds great.
