As I stated in my review for the game, it comes down to the UX/UI. And to the simple fact that the dev(s) are the type who appear to actively respond to people having fun by patching the fun out.
It's all the problems of Dwarf Fortress Adventure Mode with none of the wonder, splendor, or peace.

Haven't played it too much, so I don't know how much "fun" for me they have patched out but I do have about 200 versions archived. Sometimes, they release so many versions in a short amount of time that I miss an offline installer here and there. It's all the problems of Dwarf Fortress Adventure Mode with none of the wonder, splendor, or peace.

Yeah, I was looking for your review and saw a bunch of one stars criticizing the devs. Dafuq happened to get that reaction? It's all the problems of Dwarf Fortress Adventure Mode with none of the wonder, splendor, or peace.

I had to rewatch that to understand what the problem is. They seem to keep patching out ways to exploit the game? When you say they don't want you "playing as actual villains", does that mean they don't respect player agency towards being a contrarian? Isn't part of the fun of a sandbox game being that you can be evil anyway?

Darvond: Quite simply, they responded poorly to the review I linked, and seem to have a rather strict ideas towards not playing as the actual villains, even though you the player can do things which are probably much worse than them.

But given it's a fictional universe with giant sentient sewer snails, the whole thing bells of daftness, given said extreme purist faction would have to deal with not only that, but the giant deathbots.
