& I think he doesn't understand - or forgot - that the faithful wife/husband whose spouse isn't able to fulfill such obligations are often/usually seriously ill, disabled, or something similar. Being true to the love of your life is historically considered noble, deeply romantic etc. It's taking the high road when you value their companionship and your own vows more than immediate pleasure. There is honor - and even a kind of satisfaction - in doing the right thing, in being trustworthy. Maybe one day he will swim on from the shallows of life and learn that real love is devoted and often self-sacrificing. In the meantime, I shall keep praying for him. He clearly needs it.
