I think the graphics are gorgeous. Painted backgrounds with sprite figures engaging in battle or other activities on that. Pillars Of Eternity did the same thing, just instead of sprites you get 3 dimensional models which makes for much smoother animations and a better zoom. The choppy animations might be the most alienating to players who are used to modern games.

I suggest you simply look at a Let's Play on youtube, there are plenty of those around, and form your own opinion.

But I guess this comes too late anyway since the bundle is not on sale anymore.
