I only use windows between 7am and 6pm due to mosquitoes. Can't imagine how such a huge security threat got through bug testing, but that's MS for ya.

Having a stable inner or outer net connection* on your windows has been shown to drastically reduce the number of bugs you will experience. There is no reason to have windows without the net anyway.

*no obvious holes - we recommend the inner net explorer to browse your net looking for such vulnerabilities.

Darvond: Joke thread aside, I keep Windows around for the occasional times I want to play Sims 3.
Sims 3 actually worked at release very well in Wine.. almost like they tested it. Sims 4 also works pretty well.

On topic, I use Windows because some games I get given just don't work in Linux (either Wine or native) and I need to test my code on that platform because cross-platform is good.

Yeah, but I installed it over there, and I feel it might be slightly overbearing to move all that data of all the episodes over to this partition and hit all the switches to make it work.

amund: I use windows because it works and it's stable, crashes or anything like that is pretty much non-existant. I can run all the programs on it that I need to use, no reason to use anything else. Other than that I use BSD on server-side, dumped Linux years ago because it's just not good enough on so many levels and especially for desktop use.
How often do you use your computer, and what do you do with it when you do use it?

Because, until Windows 7, it was a computer operating system. Now it's a fucking "service", and I'm stuck with all my software and games that need to run on this shit...
