Titanium: I sure wish that Stockholm syndrome would finally start to kick in.
Stockholm syndrome is unnecessary with hosts as good as GOG!

XVX777: I thought that was what he was implying, in the update link he posted, I couldn't find any other thing somebody might see as problematic that GOG did in 2012, aside from announcing their GOG downloader.

my name is sadde catte: I think you may have misunderstood Cavalary's post. I don't see anything suggesting GOG did something problematic in 2012. The post is pointing out that GOG literally ceased to be Good Old Games in 2012.
*nods* That news article literally states "These games lead the way on our the transition from Good Old Games to simply GOG.com. It doesn’t matter what G, O, and G stand for, Gee Oh Gee dot com stands for high-quality, DRM-free gaming, each week with bigger and newer games."
while not forgetting their roots, good'ol games

Titanium: What I always found hilarious is that, as I saw it, from the very beginning they announced all these core values of the site and as it seems at the same time realised what a big miscalculation that was and started slowly picking away at the edges. It wasn't even that subtle. Fun for the whole family.
I guess the core values started talking about rabbits, so GOG took them out on a trip to the woods for a bit.
