Hello.

I have the original Outwars game of Microsoft Games; and I want to give it to yours, STAFF members of GOG.com to convert in a GOG game of this site, but I don't see any link or upload to give it to yours.

Are any way to do it? I want to put this game, Outwars, in your hands to transform it in a GOG game.

I'm waiting your mesage.

Bye.
What does Microsoft thinks about that?

It's more complex than that (often significantly), unfortunately. GOG has to get permission from the people who own the rights to sell the game here.

Ah... OK, so I understand.

Well, maybe in any future this game will be played for the most people again in some modern computer.

Thanks for the explanation. I really don't know this.

There's a community wishlist entry, so if you'd like to see it on GOG someday, click that 'vote' button! : )

More likely he got the impression somehow that this is an abandonware/piracy website dedicated to patching up and distributing old games.

Perhaps. But he's an old member so I doubt it. I really believe this was an honest misunderstanding ie he really had no idea about rights and stuff.
I really don't want to be mean, since this was a kind offer at it's heart, but this is not the first time I see something like that, and I'm just confused to no end by such declarations. Do people really think that old games not available on GOG are missing from the catalog because GOG couldn't find a copy? Do they really have no concept at all of the legal side of things?

I'm sure some don't. People are ignorant of laws more important than this. So why not this. It happens.

Good answer.
Hello!.

I am truly sorry for causing so much trouble and inconvenience with this post. It was never my intention to do so.

I mentioned before (I know my English is not very good, but still there are people who understand), so please do not give more rolls this matter and let's talk in some other post.

See you later!.
