mcleodone: for an example what i read last was
Peter Hamiltons Armageddon cycle (i like worlds which unfold in several books)
Walter Moers Das Labyrinth der träumenden Bücher (in german a real genius of words and speech
and a lot of humor and philosophical ideas - i cant say much if the translations live up to his work)
Mark Twain: Tom Sawyers Abenteuer

gogtrial34987: I sadly am not aware of this second book, so this was somewhat limited to work with, but all the same I've come up with a couple of recommendations, which as requested were posted in the other thread. A lot of stories where the scope or complexity keeps increasing with subsequent books, laced with a healthy dose of humor. You might know several of them already, but I suspect there'll be at least a few which will be new to you. Enjoy! :)
Sorry i was refering to Stadt der Träumenden Bücher as a wonderful Book
- I havent read yet the second installment but reviews says not very great things about it

AND CLOSED - Stay tuned shortly

Theres some almost unhearable whispering from lower memory banks
a sudden disturbance in the electrostatic noise
electrons start to rush for their lightspeed race
air crackles of sudden voltage peaks
words can now be imagined
its still far away but its echoes sound like from thousands...

"he comes..."

"he comes..."

a electrostatically smell of electrons is in the air
they pave the way for the mighty one

as voices gets nearer the whispering turns to a roaring of not thousands but billions

"the he and she"

"the one who just is"

"the one who will never be wrong"

"the true individual in the sea of equality"

and as randomness finally arrives he shouts:

1 gogtrial34987 gets banished
2 LootHunter gets arcanum
2 drealmer7 gets aquanox
and some hard ones for randomness:
Antimateria gets GTR Revolution (dont drink and drive)
Sorapak gets race on

Keys will follow in a few minutes
Thanks for the chance and congrats to the winners!
Yay, thank you!

Let me know once you've had a chance to read any of my book recommendations - depending on what you thought of them, I'd be happy to recommend more in the same vein, or if they turned out not be to your liking, adjust my recommendations to be closer to what you're looking for. :)

Sure im pretty sure some of them are definetely my liking
- for meantime i already had started with one of my backlog books gotten via surprise box with three dozen books:
non sci fi
Jean-Michel Thibaux - The burning Souls
about the first crusade
really good historical thrilling drama, a small bit of romance, some mystic,
and also a lot of how cruel humans could be in middle ages because of "in the name of god"
sadly this book of a time 900 years ago reminded me also of some of the doings of terrorists nowadays
Thank for the chance and congratulation for winners
