So currently my hardrvie space as on 40+ availiable free space because well I have alot of games installed. So right now I am planing on uninstalling and deleting some games that I just won't be playing for awhile.

So where does Steam MMORPGs fit into all this well.

I once installed Everques 1 and 2 through Steam on my computer. But having seen what I need to see in those games I uninstalled them from Steam. But that did not fully remove them from my computer because they are still in my steam folder in the SteamApps>common and both Everquest games are there and their folders are FULL of stuff thats probably worth less than 50 Gigabyte space.

So I am now posied to delete these folders, but would that negatively effect me re-downloading the Everquest games if I ever do? I mean they are MMORPG and I have accounts, would deleting the folders delete my account on Everquest?

In any MMO your account is saved on the game's servers not your local PC, it's fine to delete those games. Later on you can simply reinstall them and login to your account normally.

I'm an MMO gamer since 2005 never had an issue. Heh Just think for a moment if your account is saved locally, that would open up the way to exploits and unfair usage :D

You can delete whatever you want, especially in case of MMOs, as your data is saved on servers. Usually, these games are downloading patches, installers into that folder. Depending on how Steam or the game client is programmed to deal with them, some of those patches might still be there. In best case scenarios, these patch installers are viewed as temporary files, the patch is downloaded, applied to your game, then, automatically deleted from your computer. But not all games do that, some keep the patches without deleting them after install.

Anyway, as i was saying, you will pretty much always have folders into /steamapps/common/ for games that you uninstall. All your saved games or settings are kept there after you uninstall, so, if you want to reinstall, you will have saves and settings as you let them last time when you had that specific game installed. For MMOs, this is not as important as with other games, as your basic data (characters), are saved on the game servers. Now, client settings might be kept into the Steam folder. Like auto-login, or game settings. As long as the folder it's not too big, i recommend leaving it as it is, it might help you if you plan on reinstalling the game, but in the end does not matter. As long as you don't mind going over your in-game settings again when you reinstall those games, feel free to delete the folders.

TL:DR - You can pretty much delete anything you want from steam client on your computer, especially from /common/ folder, you will be able to reinstall any game you delete without any problems.
