MarkoH01: There is a reason why GOG is becoming more and more like steam but I think that in the end this is not the right way to attract and keep customers.
zeogold: Probably not, no, but what are we going to do about it?
It's as the saying goes:
You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
And again, something, anything. It probably won't work, but doing nothing definitely won't work. Don't do nothing just because you can't do enough.
As for that last line AND the route GOG took, there was a part in what I'm reading now... Hm, wanted to give the quote, it's well written, but quite some time from being published and rather not put stuff out there that the author didn't yet, but anyway, point is, when pushed where you know is wrong and don't want to go, you need to push back, the odds don't matter. And when you're so thoroughly overpowered there's no way to fight anymore, you have a choice: You can bend, break or die. Break if the whole can't make it but some relevant part still might (which actually is far more suitable for a company than a person, taken this way), die if you must, but don't bend. That deserves neither respect nor even pity.
Was actually recently posting
something along those lines, basically an outburst as a result of a conversation with someone.
But it's already the 22nd by GMT so... One last time I guess, hope whatever you'll direct your efforts towards from now on will result in far less disappointment and far more fulfillment than your time on GOG ended up being, mrkgnao. May life treat you well.
