Wishbone: Ah, the post I read yesterday was apparently from
February 25th. At any rate, GOG seem to be aware of the problem, but evidently haven't fixed it yet. Which I admit must suck for all the affected people. All I can suggest is to contact GOG support and raise a stink about the issue.
gamesfreak64: They said they are aware so please be patient and let them solve this.
Causing a commotion wont benefit anyone.
Correction:
some of them are aware of it. Since the answer the OP got from GOG support was "we can't replicate the issue, so the problem must be on your end", whoever handled that support ticket was obviously not aware that there is an issue connected to specific nationalities. And the reason he couldn't replicate it is obviously that he isn't from Venezuela. So at the very least, there is a problem with GOG's internal communications, and if their
customer support is not aware of a known major bug in their own payment system, then what good are they?
Sometimes, causing a commotion really is the only way to get anything done. I'm not saying "throw a temper tantrum every time you don't get what you want", but in a situation where GOG is having a major sale, certain nationalities are barred from buying anything due to a bug on GOG's end, and customer support is telling the people who are affected that it's
not GOG's problem, something besides mere patience is called for. At the very least, I'd suggest opening a new support ticket with references to this thread and the thread I linked earlier, explaining that the problem really
is on their end, and telling them to ask their developers about it since they are apparently aware of exactly what is wrong.
