I noticed this from a link on another thread...

A couple of month ago, we (a small team developing the indie game Hybrid Beasts) also contacted GOG to include a DRM-free version of our game into their store. We have to say that our experience with GOG was quite different. Sure, we also waited about a month without any response (but we really did not bother). But then we got an e-mail from GOG saying:
"We’ve taken a look at Hybrid Beasts, it looks like an engaging and addictive title with cool art style and crazy humor. Please get back to us ... when the game hits beta. ... We will ... get back to you with our feedback and decision."
To us, this seemed very fair and nice :-) So at the moment, we are building up a beta version (currently running with approx. 50 participants on Steam) to a point where we feel that it would be a good time to get back to GOG. Just our two cents...

I created a wishlist entry for it, please vote if you think this game would interest you!

Cue some fool saying they misread the title as "Hybrid Breasts" at first and got excited in three...two....one....
I haven't fully figured out what's going on in those screenshots, but it reminds me a bit of "Worms". Looks pretty fun.

There are two videos on the site as well. It looks like a potentially polished modern version of worms with a whole lot of options. I think "spiritual successor" would definitely apply.

Sorry I'm late, got held by traffic. Did you get to -2000 already?

I count really slowly.

I did try to read the title as "Hybrid Breasts", but I couldn't find any way to interpret that in a way that I would find alluring.

Close enough. At least you made it here.

Only out of boredom. The post was more interesting than the title.

That's kind of how it is for all of the posts on this forum.
Now that I think about, I can't recall ever playing a game like Worms other than Worms . So I should probably play this.
It seems like an interesting twist on Worms. Although it cannot be seen from the videos, it's supposed to have an open world and storylines. So, go wherever and fight Worms-style battles for supremacy of whatever. Linux / OS X support. GOG didn't brush them off. Mildly hopeful here.

Perhaps because it's GOG's only way to get a decent worms game out. :D

You might want to give a try to Hedgewars while you’re waiting for Hybrid Beasts to come to GOG:
