Thank you greeks for explaining it to me. The giveaway contest has started http://www.gog.com/forum/general/an_atheists_steaming_yet_humble_gods_giveaway/page1, though in my nativity I might have started a debate instead of a contest.

DubConqueror: I'm not sure how it works or if I did it wrong. I clicked 'this is a gift' when paying, but now I got an URL for the whole bundle to gift, instead of codes for the separate games. Should I proceed by gifting it to myself and can I then get give-away codes for the separate games?

Punished_Snake: Umh, you did wrong, I'm afraid. You must buy the bundle for yourself, then while pointing on the link sent you by ml, each game comes with its entry. Near each game there's a little gift, by clicking on it you receive another link, the one you must give to the other person so he can redeem the game on his account.
It worked out alright, DarkoD13 told me to gift myself the whole package and the I saw the giftbox items to click. Thanks to you all for your help.

Awesome bundle, insta buy! :p (only the base tier though :D)
I'm honestly curious about this one. That said, are there any good actual games in there? The only one I recognize is to the moon, and I already own it here.

Sweet Lily Dreams looks interesting as a not-so-typical 16bit rpg. But the main point of this bundle is more for gamemakers than players (like the multimedia fusion 2 bundle a while ago). I already own rpgmaker and some dlc's but even in this case, it's still highly worthy for hobbyists.

I'm wondering the same. I loved To the Moon, but don't recognize any of the others. Plus, I'm not sure whether I'd have a blast with the RPG Maker software or if I'd just be too stupid to figure out how to use it. ;)

Maybe so, and that's why I'm considering it. But some good games would seal the deal for me.

Skyborn looks nice, i like the Steampunk setting. I haven't tried it myself yet but it got good reviews. Apparently it can be finished in ~7 hours so you won't have to invest too much time to see the end.
Even though I'd never use it, it's a tempting bundle.
I got vaguely annoyed by their free RPG packs, so I've compiled a list with direct downloads for the free games.

RPG Maker - Free Games bundle #1
In Search of Immortality - http://rpgmaker.net/games/5132/
The Reconstruction - http://rpgmaker.net/games/1426/
Star Stealing Prince - http://starstealingprince.wordpress.com/download/
Legionwood Tale of the Two Swords - http://rpgmaker.net/games/792/

RPG Maker - Free Games bundle #2
Homework Salesman - http://rpgmaker.net/games/3892/
I Miss the Sunrise - http://rpgmaker.net/games/2732/
Aetherion - http://rpgmaker.net/games/3410/
Visions & Voices - http://rpgmaker.net/games/1212/

Certain games might have prerequisites, but there should be enough information in those links to figure it out. I don't know how any of these games are. Heck, I've never even played an RPG maker game before.

That might be why they are called Free Games Bundle #1 and #2.... its a bonus. There is plenty enough apart from them in there to warrant the asking price.

Yes, but to me it still looks like they're just jamming them in there in order to generate more sales. But it might just be that I've been awake for 28 hours. I dunno. Bedtime is soon.

Those three look interesting
It is kinda hilarious that there is a pack of free games at the $6 level.

Does anyone have any information on VX Ace vs XP?
XP seems to be the older one, but it is more famous, and for some reason on the higher tier. What's the difference?

Also, do I want the $12 tier for "Game Character Hub", or is it simply something that could be replaced with GraphicsGale and some free tiling program?

The DLC bundles are just music and graphics? They're royalty free, I assume, and can be used for commercial projects?

Of the games, I too only know of To The Moon. Pity they didn't include The Last Dream, I'd been hearing a lot about it recently.

I can't answer you with certainty, but Steam has a free weekend on RPG Maker VX Ace.
