joveian: So, what do you think they mean by "strate"? I checked "dicipedia" (they don't call it that for some reason) and the only definitions they have for strate relate to streets, rock layers, and being "spread out". So I'm imagining GOG spread out on a road with a rock on top :/. Maybe Humble really dislikes GOG? Ok, maybe it is just marketing speak for "straight" as in "just GOG keys" but I think GOG should keep an eye out.
I took it to be a word play, because I always spell out GOG like “gee oh gee dot com.” So I read it as “Strategy-Oh-Gee” or as they put it “Strate-GOG” if that makes sense.

On another note, I would love to have the whole bundle, but the idea of activating my Humble account again is not appealing. =P

Shame I can't do some kinda trade..since I only have $17 left in my GOG Wallet and some unredeemed games...ahem.

If they included some GOG games or even just a coouple in the Humble Choice each month, it might be worth sticking with them...maybe lol.

Truth be told, I probably don't need anymore games right not anyway, since I'm not too far from breaking into the 4th digit haha. I don't think I even played more than 5% of my game library (not counting replays of retail versions), ouch. Maybe it works out better this way I suppose...

Pardinuz: A new Humble GOG bundle is here! Seems a bit more expensive than the previous offering, though. Still worth it?
Thanks for the post!

Looking at the game prices (and most seem to be decent games), I'd say it's worth it if you own only a game or two and want the rest.

I personally like all but one game on that list and own none of them. So $3 a game is not bad. It's around 90% off I think, for most of them.

Provide_A_Username: What expiration date the keys have? Any problems with not showing them as owned in the store catalog like Amazon's? I'm also wondering about the refund options
avatar
solseb: "Please note, the items listed above are subject to Humble Bundle refund and return policies."
In my opinion, there are no refunds for this charity bundle because you can do this (picture), so a refund would mean taking it back from charity.
Expiration dates should be standard 2199 year or waiting two days to confirm it.
Humble games show normally everywhere I look, opposite to Amazon games where it has special versions.
I'm going to attack the Leaderboard this Thursday : ) also hope for more Humble-GOG-Bundles! ^
Thank you #solseb, appreciate the info. My bad, I totally forgot about the charity cause. Go take that leaderboard good-hearted man!

Yes, I have that board game, but unfortunately a couple of the pieces got lost along the way. It is a really fun game, though!

I’ve got an extra Spellforce 3 key you can have. It was the only one I already owned from the bundle.

One of my all-time favorite board games, along with Monopoly. Loved playing both when I was younger with my family and cousins. :)

It's a shame we no longer do those kinds of events anymore. The simple things we lose or give up on when we get older heh.

They expire June 24, 2034 if I remember correctly (which I think I do since I recall being surprised seeing June on the first game I clicked through and then checked it for a later game and it seemed likely to be a decade after they started the sale; now if only I could bump that out of my brain for something useful :/). I just checked them quick and they are all showing as owned.

Thanks, both of those make a lot of sense. I also played a bit of stratego growing up but didn't think of it :/. I think I first misread it as strafe-GOG and thought it was going to be shooters (I'm glad it wasn't) and that got me thinking about it as a word.

Oh yeah, that leaderboard is a bit sad... still like that now, three people could get on with $18 purchases. Though I doubt many people even look at it now with these small bundles :/.

That comes back when you get older! You can then have fun playing board games with your kids. :) Plus, board games are so much better these days.

Thank you. Good, 10 years is more than enough to redeem, gift or trade them. Not like a month with Amazon, I don't get why they do that, it undervalues the gaming business IMO.

Your first few modern boardgames might be a bit hit and miss, as there is as much variety with boardgames as with videogames, and you'll have to first discover your general tastes, and then the specific niches. Number of players is also a major factor, as most boardgames work best with a specific number of players (generally anywhere between 1 and 8, though most are optimized for 2 or for 4 players). Do you like heavily thematic games? (many of these tend to feature lots of detailed plastic miniatures and be very expensive, but for a starting point without that, try Eldritch Horror) Classic eurogames with complexity arriving from very simple rules? (soooo many amazing ones here, try Samurai) evolved eurogames with more going on? (try Terraforming Mars) Heavyweight brainburners with many different interlocking mechanisms? (don't start with this - but when you do, try Gaia Project) super lightweight "gateway" games? (try Kingdomino) pretty tableau builders with inoffensive themes? (try Wingspan) Pure abstracts? (try Yinsh) Auction games? (try Ra) Cooperative games? (try Spirit Island) Deck builders? (try Dominion)

boardgamegeek is the site to be for more information. Once you've tried a dozen or so and start to have an idea of what you do and don't like, feel free to hit me up for more guided recommendations. :)

Well Amazon's are free to get. Well you need Prime but unlike Netflix you can get a free prime time. So theorethically someone could make infinite amazen and twitch accounts and so grab via free prime infinite numbers of keys. Meanwhile those out of the bundles are paid with money so while they could also be abused not so much like with Prime.
Also I think the limited time of those paid gift keys is more of giving GoG some time where they could stop having them viable to reduce dead data space as all those keys need to be safed somewhere for validation.

Currently I have Monopoly and Game of life installed (pc versions), those are kinda my type of games as far as boardgames go. I also like the Hoyle games, with Snakes and Ladders, Battleship (You sank my battleship! lol) and a few other games in that suite.

That site, I feel like I heard of it before. I'll check it out, thanks. I'll also look up some of the games you mentioned. :)

One day lesbians will make a game about themselves. I want to support it xD
Driven by personal cause, and your matured ethics, I need to take over the Leaderboard.
The name on it would not be mine it will be yours: gog.com/forum/general
Not that I don't, I love you All. You must survive I will do the same : )

There is no need to connect accounts, codes on email and valid for 10 years as mentioned.
Sweet Freedom. It can be gifted to anyone and revealed without even logging in to HumbleBundle.com.

I wanted two out of six proposed games but the bundle itself, the way it's managed, the gifting option, the slide for money distribution, the speed of the process, and charity missions made my slide treat HumbleBundle equally with Charity and Publisher. More please, preferably 4 times a year for each season : )

Thank You! ^
